my town has few writers, but nothing major. im the only one in my neighborhood which is actually pretty nice, theres no beef with any one and my stuff will usually be up for quite a while before it gets buffed.
I live in a small town too. I don't write much in my city because some toy a few years ago snitched on me, so I go out this bigger city near me. Sad part is, the city I do head to, to write, has a fairly small graff scene. I know what you mean about admiring that courage though. The city I write in is a capitol city, and some guy seriously utterly DESTROYED the city with a stencil campaign literally overnight. He probably put it up at least 70 or 80 times, like across the street from the state capitol building and shit. Haha.
Hey I'm new here, so this is my intro post, blah blah blah. I live in York, PA and there's pretty much no one in my area that does anything. I just started tagging like a week ago (I know I know I'm a newb), and I pretty much have the run of the place. I started with a stencil tag until I get my skill up. There's a small city, and a whole slew of towns that I just hop around and there's no one. If anyone lives in southern PA hit me up. I get bored out there by myself haha.
My towns pretty small but its growing really fast. I know of like 9 or 10 writers. I see new ones every few months or soo.
i think people should stick to trains if they live in a small town. but learn how to do it via internets first. and never bomb a small town. pointless. most i would say is a marker.
you should only do trains if you know what your doing.regardless of where you are.no reason to toy up the yard...
thats why i love living in LA bcuz theres tagging everywhere so if you neighbor seen you tagging he just be like "well as long as hes not fuckin wit my property i dont care" and they just walk away and dont say anything.
I live in a relatively small town of about 250,000 people in nebraska. It's hard for me to lay up good, time spent pieces here. When I do get up, it's pretty difficult because of all of the police strolling around at night. It's just ridiculous here. IT SUCKS. Bring me to LA
ya i live in a small town too. really small, shits weak. we have nothing to slap anything up on, mabe a bridge or two. there are really no writers too tho, which sucks cuz i wish i could go with someone. we only have white trash hicks that slap up "grizz" or "grizzly" with a bunch of arrow extentions. which is pretty homo. yuckkk

haha yeah ive been doing this for about 5 years and i should be a hell of a lot better but my town had no chill spots, im out of that shit hole now though. and yeah in the acctual town theres about 8000, but i was counting the close sourounding communities too...
ya exactly, theres no chill spots around me. too many rich white pricks. only good places are if i go to cities nearby.
haha i had more of a problem with old people, seriously the average age is 44 in that town if wikipedias right, you cant escape them either people tend to be everywhere, last time i was home i tryed to do a simple tiny piece at a spot thats the only slightly chill spot in town and had some guy just going for a walk come down and so i had to get out and where can you run? theres not many back streets. Also like you said white trash kids, but they were more hanging out looking to start shit and making little "gangs" then going and crossing me out...lame.. best thing to do in a small town is sketch, make stickers put em up maybe a few tags then get to a city once you move out... basically everyone i know who tryed to write got caught not long after starting ...although strange thing is, from what i hear/saw reminence of there used to be some small crew/s in my town in the 90's when there were more teenagers.
i think imma revert to stickers and slapping em up quickly. but i also have the same problem of stupid fucking upper middle class white boy "gangs" who think they are hot shit and draw all over like the schools and shit and get cameras installed everywhere. idk fucking gay. ive never seen any legit shit near me. i wish i had someone to go writing with tho.
haha you remind me of me. i always wanted someone to go with, used to try to get people to write, doesnt work tho.. they either stop soon after or get caught and things got really heated there after some "gang" shit started going up everywhere, houses, cars, everything. but now that im out tho i only have one guys contact info and we never seem to be free at the same times so im still trying to find someone haha. its really cool though when you meet other writers, ive only been in the city for like 8 months and ive met probebly 10 writers, one whos some old school writer who wouldnt really reveal much about himself but showed me some tips on painting.
ILL thats sick tho, im still stuck here till college next year. maybe ill expand there too but the college isnt really that big. but whatevs. im hoping ill continue on into college and after and maybe meet some people there. but i really wish that i had someone more advanced to go with, cuz for all i knnow im one of the only writers around here. id like to get some advice and tips from people above me
well maybe you two should link up and buttfuck. christ almighty, keep it to pm's. if you live in a small town, like me, just go to big towns, like i do. not hard. you shouldn't even tag up your own town anyway.
