    k so i got the recipe for wheatpaste, as far as experimnting, would it be possible to use corntarch insead of flour? it seems the same mabey stronger and its all i have. i dont want to try it and waste shit for no reason though.

    Ive heard you can use it. Id stick with the flour for your first time and then branch out and experiment. Honestly the first batch of paste you make will probally be shit. But you will get better. Just stick with the basics first. If you need any info or have any questions Pm me or post them in here i am 100 percent willing to help. :)

    ive made several batches of paste with white and weat flour. the first 3 seemed consistent and i let them cool, but they ended up becoming lumpy. the others were less tacky and more smooth. i want to go for making one of all cornstarch, but what should the ratio be? the same for flour? or more water because its thicker.

    I would use the normal ratio and add more water/corn starch as you see fit. About the lumpiness are you mixing it in a bowl before nice and slow before you start heating it?

    ehhh kinda, mostly rushing it in the beginning. and how long does it need to cool,? i was thinking of makin like 3 cups of wheatpaste with cornstarch tonight but i wanna use it early tomoro mornin.

    The beginning is the most important part. Put the water in the bowl then extremely slowly pour your flour in whisking like a mad man the whole time. No lumps should every develop. Just wisk a shit load then pour it into said pot and cook it until it starts to get thick and let it sit out over night and in the morning it will be cool enough. Dont foget to wisk a shit load non stop even while it is cooking.

    Tell me how the corn starch works im intrested now.

    haha i made that wheatpaste using the same ratio and instead i used all cornstarch and it ened up cooling to a glob of rubbery goo. i either needa use less cornstarch, or it doesnt work at all.

    ahha yea, but so is sugar, thats like trying to use sugar water to wheatpaste...oh wait that would still work better than cornstarch ahah
