Is kiwi leather dye any good? It's all I could find. They got Feibings near me but they're in really small shops that are virtually impossible to rack from and I'm not about to dish out $8 for a 4oz bottle. So is kiwi leather dye any good at all?
no im saying, i kno the dyes wont fade, but will they lose their effectiveness at staining after being inthe sun for along time
im really not sure. idk if they fade without benzo either. because i let my ink tests sit in teh sun till nothing changed, thne buffed them, and the treated ones didn't buff anything at all and i dont think the non treated did either tho, idk its confusing
If I'm adding woodstain to my ink it should be water based, not oil based right? Is woodstain as good as leather dye? What brand of woodstain is good? All I've seen so far is Winwax. And again, is Kiwi leather dye any good at all for staining? I grabbed some today and I'm gonna just empty it out for a mop unless the dye actually stains. And where the fuck do you guys get your marsh or pilot ink? I can't find anywhere that sells it. And NONE of the walgreens around me have griffin dye.....
neone try glop ink/paint/gk sold online to idiots like me??i got some and its pretty nice..drips like a mofo even with a regulater in the mop..nebody else fall victom to online ooo!!! i want it???
india/fountain pen ink? i got some of that testing right now although ive read that its no good for staining. its been drying for half an hour now. it says waterproof, but its still prob. not very resistant to chemical agents.
anyone think i could use styrene monomer as a binder in acetone based ink? you can get the styrene monomer at home depot
Where can I get good ink like Marsh or Pilot? Or Garvey? I'm not trying to order it over the internet and I have looked everywhere with no luck. Another quick question. How can I tell if the ink I'm getting is more of a staining ink that won't hold up under the sun and weather or a ink that will hold up to weather and sun but won't stain well. I know Garvey stains nicely and bleeds through, but it wont hold up well under sun/weather. What about Pilot and Marsh T-Grade? Are they more of staining inks or the other? And where can I get methylene blue or any other additives that help bleed through? I remember using it in chemistry in high school, haha.
you dont have to kno anything. all you gotta do is buy a litle red book. call it the graff cookbook and send it off to ink heads and let them fill it with secret information and such. least tahts what i did... =P
We finally got the recipes getting down here in the south end for Mint G. Quick drying chrome, yellow, red, and black. Purple coming soon. Will be up for grabs soon, as well.
I just grabbed a bottle of Sanford Higgins Eternal ink. I can't find pilot or any quality inks around me at all. Is this Higgins bullshit good for anything?
I just had the worst ink spill, hopefully of my life. Pen ink... all over the white counter, front of the white cabinets, and all over the tile floor. I've been scrubbing for an hour.
at least it's tile and not carpet. then you'd be fucked. i've had ink spills all over my shirt and pants before going to work, trying to catch handstyles on the way. tell me that's not the worst ink spill.
My carpet is polka dot from black and purple ink dripping all over my room. Shit sucks but it's no worries
