meh, once it's been there for a while, the paint covers quite nice actually.

you can use nitro is you really want.

otherwise, paint goes on real nice over paint.

 

what are some add ins to put in your alcohol,pen,and dot3 ink mix that will make your ink as black as you can get it?

How can you get the ink out of pens? I can't seem to figure it out with the pen I'm using. I got the tube out but I can seem to make it go and stuff.

Like get out of the tube and into the container. I'm assuming I need to just leave the entire thing inside of the alcohol and let it do the rest?

 

yea pretty much, but cut off the ballpoint part and the part of the tube at the end with no ink in it so you will get the most ink possible, else some in will get stuck in the tubes ya know.

 

Okay thanks. About how many regular office pens will I need to fill up a bottle of shoe cleaner?

 

I'd say get 80 to be safe, and therefore one full cup of 91% alcohol.

Find a tin can first, or any plastic can. Then fill it with your alcohol. Cut the pens about an inch from the tip, then throw the tip in, and pull out the white tube. cut the tube where the ink ends, then throw it in. Repeat 80x, then leave them all in the alcohol overnight. shake it up a bit before you go to sleep to be safe. Then wake up, and you're good to fill up a bottle! Caution: Don't get any of the tubes or tips into the bottle. Then you're good to go!

Use a water bottle, then you have some leftover if you don't fill up the Shoe Cleaner mop.

there's always racking. or you can go to Target and get them in pack of 10 for a low price, I think. and just be careful. the ink will go out before the pens do.

If it pen ink, just add more pens.
For things like GK add more paint. You can also evaporate some of the alcohol or what ever the base is.

What does vinegar do? What are other things I can mix inside of it and what do they do?

Edit: I found 20 pens for a dollar at Target, if anyone's wondering. It's also $2.99 for shoe cleaner as well.

 

I don't think that would work, but I may be wrong. You could add some charcoal (homemade or artists, not BQQ), if you add too much just use a coffee filter or something to drain it out.
