i used this mop rite here and its a sponge nib.. and yes the black rusto is for opacity...xylene woulda ate the nib and mineral spirits was wat i had layin around and it worked fine..i would tell u the measurments on the shit i used but i didnt take ne just used my eyes to see if it was too thick or too thin...
so i found this shit in homedepot View attachment 505574 havnt really done shit for inks since this year started. but this cot my eye. straight up says makes ur paint betta haha. ne one wanna try it out?
^i think martyraz has tried it. doesnt it just reduce streaks? maybe just add a capful to ur batch, proly doesnt do too much lol. long time no see olick, u ever get ur book finished?
titanium dioxie is just pigment. just liek when u add carbon powder, it'll just sink to the botton of ur xylene, u need something to hold it in place
there ya go. but then u just made rusto oil based paint...which u can just buy for probably less taht what it costs to buy teh pigments
nnnnop. book is in exactlty same condition i got it hahaha. i look at it hear n there. interesting to see the minds of 3 diff people. sioooo. gheto smash ink anyone?
yea idk if u wer hear at the time or not, but to make a simple alcohol based ink, just get some fine pigments(i tried charcoal powder, but its too large of a pigment so it doesnt flow well) and then mix some shellac into some alcohol till its a good consistency, and u can add the pigments, maybe some benzo, maybe some dyes ect
I'll get some pics this weekend, I didn't get any when I went way down south with a pink mop. And more pics should come when proper and Some guy in Cali get their samples I promised them last month
i have some jars of acrylic paint that i was going to use to make ink but i dont have isoproponal at the moment. i just have hydrogen peroxide, using this probably wont work will it?
you should wait until you have the right supplies to make ink. you should also not use acrylic and isopropanol together for ink.
Hydrogen peroxide isn't good to use at all, for any ink or paint mix. Hint!Hint! Acrylic paint usually thins with water. Have fun.
