You can define "all city" however you want

But Crook n' Crome did not go "all city"

    That wasnt the mission.

Crook n' Crome went "All Highway"

They left a trail of destruction thru all different citys from South Miami to West Palm, but didnt crush any particular city.

More like a nice little smack to the face in every city south of west palm.

In late '98 and early '99 you can name any major highway in Miami or Broward and they were up in prime time spots.

I-95 from US-1 to West Palm. 836, 112, 826 East-West & North-South, Gratney, 878, 874, Turnpike from South Miami to North Broward, 1-95, 3-95, 5-95, I-75, Krome, US-1, US-27, From the Beach to the Everglades, From Metro Zoo to West Palm.

And for the record, the whole Crook n Crome "short lived" run started in late Novemeber of '98 and ended in early March of '99... about 4 months.

Crazy to think that in less then 120 days Crook n Crome managed to do that much damage.

ide like to add that painting one heaven near delray doesnt constitute hitting everything south of west palm.

a lot of people made a career of copying crook and crome's "all highway" fame idealism- Normel and Baler went "all highway" with hollows from lake worth to boca, then Dose and Ynot did fill ins on the same spots all the way to miami- and finally STV went over every single spot they did from hypoluxo to broward in a single thanksgiving weekend. Crazy to think they could of done all that damage that took others months in a single thanksgiving weekend.

TheTruthHurts said it best- the phrase was coined in ny where other terms like "king of the line" and "all city" were defined and applied. I think what you guys are trying to say who the "King" is- and that in most cases that will always be argued. also being all city might mean something more in Miami than saying you are All city Pompano- but it depends how much you rep your home town. It used to be you bomb the shit out of your hometown and you could easily tell who lives where, but now you can have a beef with the fdot and tag bang entire county highway systems and call yourself "all highway" lmao

your off on your dates but thats really not the issue here....just thought i'd throw my 2 cents in to try and educate some of the younger cats who come to this site.and as always,i feel pretty disappointed in myself for wasting my breath.the funny thing is that shit is so ass-backwards on this site that the majority of these web dwellers probably respect your opinion more than the opinions of those who do have some semblance of reality when it comes to the history of writing in south florida.like i said before, its not such a great triumph to follow in the footsteps of true bombers who came before you and then not acknowledge the fact that you were taught everything you know and really never did anything that groundbreaking or original.for the record,im not saying that what crome did is not notable or that he wasn't a savage when it came to bombing in his hayday.just that there were guys that came before him that laid the foundation and showed him the blueprint.

Its much harder to create then to destroy.

The point that was being made is that the "All-City" term is something other people applied to the "Crook & Crome" run.

The "Crook & Crome" story is not about all-city, or all-highway... it was bigger then all that, it was bigger then graff because it effected way more people then just writers.

In reality Iit was just a ton of mostly basic highway bombing spread out over Dade & Broward compressed into a very very short amount of time magnified by an overwhelming amount of media coverage, a record setting bond and a long criminal trial that "Crook & Crome" ultimately won in court thanks to dishonest cops, an honest judge, a pair of expensive lawyers and the 4th amendment and 1 motion to suppress evidence.

Then the storys, rumors, myths, and flat out lies were carried on over the years like a graffiti spook story for the younger generations.
