and sometimes when a wall owner paints his whole wall white, and buffs my piece in the process. I come back with a fat cap and write in big ugly letters "congrats on the new paint job "
also sometimes I'd do a stencil with fluorescent colors on a black background (so that it'll grab attention) that says "this is a piece of art, no posters are allowed over it" or "toys, stay away" or something

I like to sometimes write 'walks among you' or something like that. make people realize that graff artists can be anyone, and they will most likely never know who is and who isn't.
