Police bust suspected graffiti ring Community Oriented Response: Three people face 47 charges as a result of a two-month investigation By JOE BELANGER, The London Free Press Last Updated: August 9, 2010 8:48am Police say they’ve made a major bust of a London graffiti ring whose spray painting has caused more than $50,000 damage to government buildings, businesses and homes. Two adults and one youth — who police say are members of the so-called FBM crew — face 47 criminal charges. A two-month investigation by the community oriented response (COR) unit led to the arrests of suspects Wednesday. “It’s a significant takedown,” said Const. Mike Comeau, a COR member probing the problem of graffiti in the city. “This crew is probably the most prolific in the city.” In fact, Comeau said the crew’s handle, FBM, actually target’s a COR police officer who arrested one of the suspects earlier this year. The FBM stands for an obscenity and the officer’s initials, BM. The suspects were taken into custody, then released on their own recognizance. Jeffery William Gordon, 21, is charged with 12 counts of mischief causing damage to property not exceeding $5,000. Police allege Gordon used the moniker or tag, ‘ORGANIK.’. Benjamin Ian Pavlov, is charged with two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death, 14 counts of breach of probation and 13 counts of mischief causing damage to property not exceeding $5,000. Police allege Pavlov used the moniker ‘HORE.’ Charges against a youth were not disclosed. The investigation is continuing.
