what up yall. crazy to go on the internet after so long and find every one still trying to figure these things out
So in conclusion it seems the best "INK" is O1NK or GROG. Whats the best pigmented ink, like one that has opacity to it. I've made my own stuff but in all honesty it's alot less hassle to just buy shit if you make sure you're not buying shit just cause it is supposed to be for graffiti
OK I know this might sound lame, but can I use sump oil as ink? Sump oil as in the dirty oil from a diesel engine? ALL REPLIES TO THIS REPLY APPRECIATED.
Ok im begginin to make my own experiments with inks and i have some kind of a problem... i saw that when yo put together ink and paint and try to mix it, the result is that when you tag the paint kinda flows to the edges of the tag... so i was thinkin to use that in my advantage, to make some kind of two-colored tag with just one strike. the thing is that i tried mixing some grog with silver otr paint that i had from an old marker... as i didnt had too much, and it was just a experiment, i mixed them in a use-and-throw plastic glass... and when i moved the result to a mop, i found that most of the mix had become solid, just like some kind of black paste why did it happen? and how can i avoid that to happen again?
its out, idk i tried out one of those new molotow mops that unscrew from the bottom. idk whats going on
Grog Silver didnt work for me in my stampendous mop. I think the pigments may be to large and it clogs the nib
i used the pen ink + alcohol + brake fluid recipe enmity posted in the other thread. works super fine. much much better than I expected even. I recommend it
Dot 3 doesn't do much, in my experience. I found out that using pen ink and alcohol works fine by itself.
dot3 leaves a discolored tag if it ever gets buffed... too much makes it take forever to dry, but if 80% of ur tags get buffed its always nice to see those ghost tags
dot 3 works great on painted surfaces in ink mixes (INK MIXES NOT PAINT MIXES) because it slows down the dry time and gives the ink/alcohol/acetone/solvent/what the fuck ever your shit is based off of more time to seep into the porous holes in the painted surface you are writing on . the same thing happens if you mix ink with gum arabic. but gum arabic is $12 for a 2.5 oz bottle, not that the most of us would pay for it anyways, but even then, the brake fluid works better. never tried it with anything else than dot 3, they sell dot 3 at dollar stores so thats what i buy. BRAKE FLUID IN PAINT MIXES/GHETTO KRINK DOES NOTHING BUT SLOW DOWN THE DRY TIME OF PAINT. IT DOES NOT STAIN. IT CAN UP THE DRYTIME TO DAYS. if you want to slow down the dry time of your paint reasonably 30 min - hour (the advantage is it has a little more time to drip) thin it with mineral spirits or charcoal lighter/starter fluid instead of acetone or nail polish remover. the mineral spirits and starter fluid are both mainly composed of naphtha. if you want to look into that more, google it. no, im not trying to set you on fire. also my homeboy made a water based outdoor mix for a mop by thinning out black acrylic paint with sumi ink. it drips sexy, lasts outdoors in the sun, but of course buffs easily. i once thinned some scuff cover with india ink so it would last longer (i wanted more paint? ink? whatever you want to call scuff cover) and get rid of my india at the same time. it did last outside, and got the scuff cover really thin. i might try running some through a zig and post the results. anyways, im starting to write again, and i want a cheap outdoor ink that will last sun and rain. pen ink fades in the sun pretty bad, and i dont give a fuck about staining really at this point. so hettinger has a beef with mr. black. id just like to know how it lasts outside. i read your post in a page a while earlier that said you had trouble with a mop and i didnt understand exactly what you were trying to say. what are cheap/easy to obtain, alcohol based outdoor inks that can flow through a valve marker? incase tl;dr some recipes/ideas need outdoor ink for valve marker staining not required.
