I'm looking for a P&S for my wife. Under $250 (I can't see paying more than that for a P&S) Don't care what brand. Preferably one with at least a program mode, so she can start learning to use a camera... Not a bridge camera, it's gotta' be a 'can fit in my pocket' type of thing. Any suggestions?
i dont know much about point and shoots but this might be good to read through if you already havent. the nice ones look out of your price range though http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/recommended-cameras.htm#pocket and im posting the photo battle tommorow night, ive already got 10 entries, but if anyone hasn't sent theirs they should get on that

anything canon. I reckon get her this... and let her learn grassroots photoraphy. http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-F60-N60-camera-pristine-w-warranty-J729-/280533742165?pt=Film_Cameras I can't believe the price these cameras go for. Suchhhh good cameras.
Heres a video a mate made of me at a recent shoot! I'm pretty impressed! All shot on his D90. It's weird watching me at work! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veZG6VzWMSw
i sometimes find myself embarrassed by the thumbs up i give too. neat video though, reminds me i know nothing about photography. for talking...
You took a picture of the Jersey Fuckin' Devil ended up getting this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001SER48I/ref=oss_product I might end up getting that F60 for myself. I want a film Nikon. Since it can share lenses with my D40
I think I'll be getting a film nikon soon too. I got a darkroom class in highschool starts in about a month. 1.3 second exposure.
funhouse i dont like the way that looks at all. the effect on the background is kinda gross. cool video too. i tend to forget other people on this forum are older and legitimately have jobs and make money...
Just experimenting. I was fucked up so I'm surprised i could focus it. I didn't really edit it that much it was just weird light and weird settings.
I have one..just need to get around to it. and i have to get around to getting shots of mine and my dad's bikes. those should be fun
