the look on that guys face says it all!I wonder what he used to kill it? looks like a baseball bat and part of it is broke off in it's skull.that guy looks whooped and he's fighting tears
Normally you spear them. You can catch them on marlin/shark lines though. But, they rarely bite at bait. They're actually generally really docile, compared to the way they look. It's hard to catch them on a line because the way they eat, is that they latch down those jaws on a fish, and won't let go until it dies, which could be hours, then it will progressively chomp it to move it down its mouth. So if it comes to the end of the line and feels the resistance, it will let the fish go. So you have to follow the gar in the boat WITHOUT the line going tight. Shit is like, impossible. So most people bow hunt them.
I want to get a camera for my birthday whats a good starting camera for photography, my friend has a Nikon d3000 and his photographs seem legit so I'm thinking on getting that. Any suggestions?
Any, other, Nikon, ever. I've found Ken Rockwell agrees with me. I'm just going to start linking to him. http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d3000.htm There's a reason the D3000 costs less money now, than older entry cameras cost used.
Wow. I just found out my dad had a pretty good lens that he was holding out on me on.. A 50mm F/1.4 Canon lens.. Im stoked.
Nobody has any comments on my long exposures? Not even gonna hate on them?! c'mon guys! They are at the bottom of the previous page if anyone is curious, Which you should be!

I'm not personally a fan of warm colors unless it's being used to express heat. But that's just me. I'd also level the first one to make it even with the skyline.
those are still pretty nice. anyways. persieds meteor shower is starting in like 20 minutes. someone try and get some shooting star pics. im too drunk and too much light pollution. i dont see wild animals where im at. except last night i saw a great dane out at like 2 in the morning that had escaped from somewhere. truly a bizzare occurence
im moving out of arizona for school. but the white balance is off in the long exposures and they aren't focused.

the middle one i think is the best.. sharpest. i too am not crazy about the red. would have thought you set the wrong white balance as opposed to it being intended. reminds me, any of you guys catch the meteor showers? tried last night, clouddy as fuck. tonight, i cant even remember but it might still eb happening tonight. anyway, sry about the size, i just like how crisp this little point and shoot does on low light. i kinda wished im able to have adapter lens on it.
