I never met Alfa but from what I've heard about him half these people shouting him out are lucky they never met him either. Don't get it twisted, I have all the respect in the world for the guy, he got up hard, but half you kids are giving him props 'cause you think it'll make you seem cool when he probably would have knocked you out in real life just for being you. It's too bad all this internet love doesn't stop you idiot toys from going over him or clipping his shit with garbage orange tags on spadina near that library. Act like you know, don't just type it. (This wasn't directed at anyone specific other than the idiot who clipped that throw on college with a tag I can't even read.) the kid died while painting a train, he was only 18 and never had a chance to mature and be more cool with everyone.. I think everyone in Toronto should show respect and hit his name up regardless of if they knew him or not, or even if they had problems with him. Your opinion is worthless "bleh".. If you never met him then why are you saying you got all the respect in the world for the guy on here for everyone to see, and saying people shouldn't hit him up if they never met him? you contradicted yourself dumb ass. People don't hit him up to look cool , people hit him up out of respect and should continue to do that for generations. He is the first Canadian writer to die while painting and also the first Canadian writer to crush an entire city. I know he had a bad rep for some thuggish bullshit and the style is debatable but people should keep his name alive regardless if they knew him or not..
I said I had respect for him so it was clear I wasn't trying to talk shit about the guy. He deserves the respect for every reason you mentioned, it's just that to me it seems like people are showing that "respect" for the wrong reasons (i.e. to be seen showing that respect, not giving the respect because it's rightfully deserved). I understand what you're saying but I still think a lot of kids do it to do it and probably have no idea why he should be respected, just that he should be. What my point really comes down to is that I'd rather see him being respected on the street where it counts by not having his shit clipped or gone over by ignorant toys than on internet forums where everyone's opinion is as worthless as mine. Don't get me wrong I respect you and your opinion and you're right; anyone can say whatever they want on here, so what worth does it really have? At the end of the day it's what happens in the real world that matters, which is why I think a lot of kids don't really have the respect for him that they should, which is a shame.
lol ok let's not turn a legend into a god .. alfa was established but he wasn't some kind of all city king
kids show respect to him because hes dead, a martyr for the art if he was alive you think kids would throw up his name? no they do it because he died for what he loved and people who respect that will show all the love they can knowing him or not.
No ones questioning this? He was king of this city and maybe the first to do it here but the first in canada? no way.Montreal still sons Toronto big time.
