Got a 24x36 print done today. Could have done 36x54 without a big issue. But it was expensive. Fuckin printers at copymax are calibrated to be a lot darker than what on their screens. A lofl pisses but whatever. Pretty awesme to be able to print that big, not that i ever will

 

Think about it, your viewing your images on a back lit screen vs a piece of paper. What looks best for your screen isn't necessarily whats going to look best in print.

 

Yup. Hope you converted to CMYK (depending on your printing method) etc.

Haha. I did a three year bachelor basically to learn that print is a fucking complex mess of formats colours and all sorts of shit.
Design something in RGB and print it on a CMYK printer you are gonna get a rude awakening at how fucked up the colours are.

 

Printmaking is a craft in itself.

 

yes! i never really ever got my head around it at uni. too much to know and remember.

 

well luckily it was a b+w print so it only came out underexposed a bit. it was nothing important. i think im just gonna get things printed from places that specialize in photo printing
