Transfer season in europe, I still can't get used to how fast and randomly players are shuffled about in Europe.
I really hope the Gunners don't sell Nasri to either of the Manchester teams, hes a great young talent they should build the team around. Sell Cesc, I don't care, but for gods sake keep Nasri and splurge on a well established center back.

my opinion on cesc is that if barca can man up and put forward an actual bid for him (35 - 40 mil) they can have him. i mean hes gonna
end up there anyway when his contract runs out in like 4 years. but don't try and say hes only worth 27 when andy carrol was worth 35,
and torres 50! whenever he goes it'll give us ample funds to reinvest wherever strength is needed.

nasri is just using arsenal as a platform to launch his career. he's been there for 3 years, most of which was lack luster, and really only
shined in the first half of last season. prior to that he did very little and was relatively unknown in england. now i totally understand his and other player's
desire for reassurance from Wenger that MONEY will be spent on ESTABLISHED players. but he's also bitching about wages and has repeatedly rejected
contracts with improved wages, so its not really about the club. last i've read is that man city have a 22 million bid in and hes moving there to be on a
185,000 a week contract. clichy left after 8 years of service to the club, and if cesc goes he'll be the same, but what about nasri?

i think he's going to end up leaving, which is terribly weak in my amateur opinion, because a, wenger made him into who he is, and b, if cesc
leaves he'll be able to play central mid instead of outside on the wing.

Bendtner is a dumb ass, a lot of atheletes are stupid but he's special. Hes talented but he hasn't lived up to his potential.
Arsenal should sell him, Arshavin, Alumnia, cesc, and maybe another mid fielder. They're deep with young mid field talent anyway and clichey leaving shouldn't be too bad seeing is how they've got Gibbs and Traore. Stick someone with world class talent next to Vermaelen. If they don't sign a quality centerback I don't think they'll qualify for champions league this year. Liverpool and Tottenham are going to give them a tough time for that 4th spot. No more young talent, sign someone in their prime with experience.

Also, the new away kit is horrendous.

 

i think bendtner should've gone on loan somewhere like wenger did with vela, just to humble him a bit.

Gibbs is fuckin tiny, he's got potential but gets manhandled by so many teams. I'm glad Djourou has some height on him and wasn't terrible against messi, he'll be a great central defender, and if Vermaelen plays all year, that might be just what he needs to show it.

Build around Baptista. Those AL east parts are all hitters parks, its a tough division, but if can hit a ball longer than 300 feet you should be able to hit the short porch in the bronx, or whats normally a high warning track fly out in boston is a homerun over the monster. I wish small ball contact hitting and good pitching would work but when texas rolls into town and barrages our fans in the bleachers with home runs it makes it pretty clear that small ball is a last resort for struggling teams with low budgets.

Give us Prince Fielder hes going to be a FA, and our GM who worked with the brewers organization for a while should exploit his contacts over there. Move 'em all over. Braun, Fielder, Hart, Gammel, uurbody. Sick of this shit, put the wood on the ball.

A's actually been real hot offensively since the all-star break, and Anderson pitched a hell of a game tonight against the rays. Matsui hit his 500th and has been hittin well since, if the A's can keep up their hot bats they can make a running. Has the trade deadline already passed? Id like to see some new veteran names for the A's but lord knows that the only thing comin and goin through oakland is crack and youngsters. A's signed Gray today, this 18 year old starting pitcher whose supposed to have mad bars, theyre sending him straight to arizona to play some AA ball, If all goes well they said theyll think about callin him up this year for some relief...
