I've read that damned "New to Graffiti" thread about a dozen times now. Though it is very informative, I really can't find any information on how to make the letters flow better. Are there any pointers you guys can give me, or is that just something that comes with practice?

Straight letters and after months maybe even years once you can make them consistent you start doing minor tweaks to the letters. Flow will come.

Oh, and I just thought I'd add, that curve in my letters isn't intentional. That's just how my normal handwriting looks lol

straight letters as in letters with no extensions, and doing your tag over and over and over. When u start building a style it will come easier.

dank310.. that needs some work, you got the "liquid" (as I like to call it) hand movements more or less
but some letters need to be fixed, especially the o w and k. they look like d, u and r

try and make your letter match better, also im not feeling the arrow for the T or the bar from the U as the cross for the A. The R is way too big, also if your gonna use quotes dont put them that far away. Like we were all saying earlier in this thread, the key is coherency. You want your letters to belong together.

Thanks for the advice, I've got one tag up not too far away that I think is a more coherent style, try and put it up tomorrow

Also my two cents on flow: It comes naturally. You really can't teach flow. But in a nutshell, It's the natural movement of the hands and wrist,as far as tags go. For pieces, i'd say it's the overall shape of the piece and the way the letters them selves connect/lean. Flow can be achived by adding extentions, but profellionals have flow in the letters themselves. Also, simples may have flow, but straights(keyboard letters) typically do not.

    It all takes time.
@taro i love the second hand. But the style above IS a philly hand. Many philly greats have complimented me on it. Philly hands get much more complex For example:https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/404079_273190219467535_932112560_n.jpg
Granted i have no fucking idea what it says, it does actually say something...
    Here's another philly hand.

It's only two letters. I'll let you guess which ones.
This is just to show how low-level my hand is.
As far as yours, i'd like to see it with a pen;any flaws in a hand will show with a skinny cap or a ball point pen.(another legend tought me that).
