^Looks dope Kroe, I'd suggest you post in the Judgement thread, I say you belong in the intermediate thread. Back to basics. I really have to start thinking about my proportions.. the D and O are either too small or the I and A are too big.. Oh wel.. Crits?
^^kroe the middle piece is pretty sick i like the wild style...definitly no toy..im not a fan of the open extension on the A in the third pic it looks a little unfinished ^^^freddy i think you are being to critical on yourself the a is a lil bigger but it is at the end of the word..the cloud effect is a nice touch im having troubles getting the y and the c to blend well in syco any suggestions
You'll know. You want to have simps dialed and perfected so you gain a better understanding on how to use structure to your benefit. Some random crap trying to change it up.
I'm really liking that new style man but I feel the H is the weakest letter but I still like it a lot
Nah man, I just don't like the progress I'm making in writing graffiti, I can't come up with a nice flow or style, don't know what to do from here, hence the basics an the critique. I do like the other drawings I do though, it's just the Dolia's I'm not happy with.
fred that one picture of the random stuff u posted was pretty dope, if ur having trouble with letters try a name change maybe or just keep on doing simples, the one u did right there is nice and to the point
DOLIA/Fred- your making definite progression. Id say keep doing what your doing. But if your get burnt out try changing names or just practicinng different letters, I find doing letter studies, as in 1 letter by itself, helps alot to branch out, try different tweaks and styles of what your already doing, be adventurous but recognize and learn from when it looks wack. The R is kinda fuckd, redrew it like 6 times. still not happy but fuck it. Messin with some fatter letters.
cred the H is coming together i cant wait to see it filled in.... bbb>>>3 legit slappers .. looks like ham and cheese all around
and the award for the most progression in 3 months goes to your local neighbourhood lurker, nikka dolia
The easiest way to fix your proportions is by taking a ruler and making a faint line across your paper. Then while you draw, make sure the top of your letters all end at that line.
yeah that dolia is getting alot better!! i love how the cloud is undershaded like that with the lines like a "hollow" 3d effect. ill prolly borrow that sometime.
