So this is my first throw, my first time using bubble letters, and my first time filling with sharpies. So any advice would be great. Please ignore the black lines connecting to the outside of the E and on the sides of the dot. I decided to add a full outline after doing a small drop shadow. I also think my shading looks weird but im not entirely sure, does anyone have any tips on how to get good shading with sharpies?? I also need practice on cleaning/smoothing up my lines when going over them with sharpie.
damn dude that flarey effect is sick how did you do that? is it just coloring on the other side so it bleeds thru kinda faded?
^ no it's some weird chartpak markers i picked up cheap at an art store closing. i think they would have costed $140, but i got them for $20. haven't really used them, then i found a chartpak woodcrafter blender, and it works great for sucking the chartpak ink out of the page. i thought i got a pretty cool effect. always trying new things though. if you can find the things, they're okay. not to pay full price for. that flare effect is the only use i've found for them, they bleed too much to use for outline or fills. not as good as a copic or a prisma.
Black is last. You can see it on the last one, the green one if you dont believe me. You can see the line on the M which formed it
once you get the letters down somewhat... you should start filling them in witht he whole left to right thing, ya know what i mean? study some of the greats that post here and see how they steadily fill these in with that left to right method or whatever.
Will do. I'm not blaming the markers fully, but its a part cuz of em. 1$ arkers. Although I'm still not good enough to buy markers for 50dollars. and ofc not for 200 ones. might buy the evolve ones u have in a couple of months
tey r 21 dollars some work great some are shit. red is pink and pink is pink gold sux but silver blue purple brown and others work great.
Ye, but i don't need them so far. i still suck too much. when I'm better at piecing ill get em. any tips on shadows?
