    Burner- Whenever you do a rasta colored fill its a "burner" because that means your letters smoke mad weed and are total "burners"

    As far as cheap paint comes I'd say Rusto is best, Stick with the stock cap, I have tried to use different caps with hardware cans and it just doesn't work, the cans are high pressure and shoot too fast causing the cap to not spray right and usually bursts a leak right away. Only use variation of caps when you got good cans cause they are usually low pressure though some are even high. When spraying any hardware can in most cases they are high pressure so you tend to have to move your hand a little faster when doing lines otherwise it could drip. But if your new to using cans don't get discouraged if your shit is sloppy takes mad long to obtain some sort of can control and everybody has there own way of doing it. Better cans do make a big difference cause you don't got to worry about moving too fast or about drips etc... As far as markers come for black books..It doesn't really matter what you use. You can buy different markers with different bases that add nice textures, but they ain't going to make you any better at sketching. Stick with some basic markers for now, those types of markers are only really good to do nice fill ins and effects. The only thing in a marker that could make a difference in your graffiti is the type of tip it has. Some are like a paint brush, some are jagged and have multiple edges for different width lines(if you know what i'm talking about) but again that won't make much of a difference, its all about personnel preference and getting better over time with practice. Good luck cuz.

    More of a personal question than anything but how many times have you guys got a piece of art just the way you wanted it (anything doesn't matter) then thought ehh I'm just going to add a little of this, and a little of that, to make it look better, but when you try to make it look better you fuck up, and then when trying to fix that fuck up you fuck up even more, and then fuckkkkkk. I Just got off of work early today and decided to paint a portrait with some cans, it was looking dope as fuck until I decided to add a couple more details.....and by then it was too late... I'm more pissed that I wasted my sweet sweet paint, and even more pissed that I didn't take a flick of that fucker..... Anyways I feel like I'm the only retard that does this all the time. Am I alone?

    Ive done the same thing before! It truly is one of the worst feelings, though most of mine is in pencil/markers so Im not really wasting anything other than time. Ive finally decided that when i do something that looks good, but i feel i need to make some changes, I either leave it alone until I can ask others' opinions, or I just start another one. (again not using paint though)

    ^^^ Ya today I kind of just painted off of the top of my head, but it was on a pretty big board that I got setup in my yard so I used a loooot of paint....And then used even more trying to fix my fuck up. If cans were a dollar a pop it wouldn't be such a big deal, but at 6 or 7 dollars its an expensive hobby. I'm lucky enough that I live in Mtl though, I buy ALL my stuff at Sub V, a lot cheaper than ordering it and having it shipped if you aint in Mtl.

    Got one more question, how many of you guys have used cans on a canvas? I got a big one that I want to paint tomorrow. Should I prime it? Leave it as is? Any precautions I should take before getting at it?

    @skunkone
    from where im from

    tag- marker writeing
    slap- sticker
    poster-flour+water=paste+paper
    throw up(throwie,holow)-just outline no fill,usually bubble letters
    peice-usually intricate painting
    burner-(not 100% sure)less intricate painting
    bombing- multiple paintings at one time(diffrent locations)(usually throwies mabey with a fill)(in philly bombing means tagging)
    roller-paint roller
    roller peice-painting made from paint roller

    @soph life

    rusto original (female valve) or rusto paints touch(male valve) or rusto painters touch x2(female valve) i think there all okay best for less detailed work (my opinion) and sharpie paints are great for the blackbook i also like the sharpie gold and silver

    Right when I'm tagging I use just the normal standard cap and I get clean lines, when I use far caps I get a lot of overspray how do I stop that?

    ^ i dont know what you mean by far caps but from what i noticed myself is diffrent paint sometimes means diffrent crispness and even if you useing a good cap ment for graff it might make a perfect line on one can but a shitty line on another.. try diff cans and diff caps, and if you mean stock caps i can never get a perfect line with thos good for a fill also try elmers spray glue caps in the art section at every rite aid, walmart,cvs stores like thos.

    and i have a q of my own my lil brother has some crayons some of the regular ones whitch will prob work the same but he also has some real fat ones i grab one and threw up some tags with it it was pretty nice it work on smooth surfaces and worked the best on cement, after i wrote one tag i tryed to smear it to see how well it worked surprisingly well im sure it would come off easyier than paint but unless just painted over witch is what the usually do around here but how well do you think it will hold up against the elements, but there easy to steal or realy cheap to buy lots of dif colors but they will get wax shit on the inside of you pocket and a lil got on my phone but not like a ink marker that will explode so i didnt care also i was thinkin about melting some down ether with a lighter or a old pot and stove and putting it inside a chapstick container or glue stick but chapstick will be less suspect i spose, is there annything i can add to it while its a liquid to make it harden up more than norm its like a super cheap paint stick seeing as paint sticks are 6 bucks at the art sore and no i dont wanna steal from that store if i get caught i can go back in and they got the best shit

    I'm using kobra paint with Montana fat cap, with the stock cap I get crisp clean lines but as soon as I put on the fat cap I get a load of over spray no matter how fast/slow I move

    Then that cap just doesn't work well with that specific can... Have you tried using that cap with a different can or vise versa?

    Just get yourself a descent digital camera, they are reasonably cheap these days. For like 200 you got a very good one allready. You can use them for making videoclips aswell, though you need a very steady hand for that
