I spent just over three and a half on my beast... pretty much volume parts all the way... Love it! Ride everyday to my shitty job and it's the only part of the working day I enjoy.
what would something extremely basic for someone who hasnt rode a fix gear before would any of you suggest? and whats the more economical way to go about it? i kind of want one.
^^ low gearing for the steep hills or windy day.. titanium or carbon fiber frame, something light to get around with.. pretty much calls for a fun thrilled day
thanks guys. i found some videos on how to comvert a regular bike into a fixed gear which is what ill be doing to when i find the right bike. its just more or less to get around and for some nice exercise. i dont think ill be focussing on the "aesthetic" and fad portion until i deem it necessary to drop serious cheddar on a fucking bicycle.
oh, yeah yeah i get you on that. if i can do the skid stop fairly easily with a couple tries or get proficient at pace pedaling, there is no need to even use the brakes as "training wheels."

my first bike. it was about a size too big but whatever. i recently copped a raleigh conversion. it seems waaay heavier than my old setup.
i did it to resell it and make it more marketable. that and i wanted to customize and build something from the ground up. its a shit load of fun. the only shitty part is running out of cashflow during the build.
