Damn I've been out of writing for about 6 years. The toy forum sure isn't what it used to be. I'll be uploading soon but you guys are pulling sick lines/fills. Look forward to some exchanges

I get you're just starting out but what I don't get is why the crooked ass lines. A lot of toys do that crooked lines thing. It looks like a tweeker did it a few days into quitting cold turkey.

You need a lot more practice. Keep at it.

Themy, basically the same advice everyone starting out. So some simpler stuff man. STRAIGHT LETTERS to get basic form and letters down then you add little doo-dats to it. Keep at it

I appreciate the feedback, I've mostly been focusing on just tags. I've been having a lot of trouble figuring out what looks good in respect to 3D, but I'll keep at it. When I get home, I'll post some pics of just line-work for some feedback

I really like the 5th from the bottom, Converting. I think that'd look awesome with a fill color and crisp black outline! For the U on the last one, maybe make the left side of the bottom down, right up (so basically reversed) so the leg of the R comes under it. Any advice for that 3D style?

Truth, 5th one down looks cool

Themy keep practicing but still go simpler man, right now you don't need all those bends and extensions yet cuz they look kinda off. What really helps is literally drawing keyboard letters, get the space and sizes all to match up, mess with basic 3d's and drop shadows. Then you can try doing your letters on angles and just go from there. And nice Trojan helmet, keep at it

Lots of new guy in this thread!

Loon : Keep it up man, your stuff is getting real nice.

Soup : Man I like your stuff very much. Your letters have some kind of a 90s feel to it. Really cool!

Still working silently on my style...

Thank you guys, I'll try that. Regular letters and some 3d will help a lot. The helmet is Roman, though :) that was one of the first things I drew when getting into graffiti so it's a bit older.

@ratzy: that's really cool! Love the bottom half of those letters

Themy- Do you use bars? Look up what bars are (new to graffiti thread) and also notice how simple the letters are on your keyboard? Make them look just like that. Dont add anything that is not already on the letter. The drips aren't working on that spor piece either, go stalk the new to graffiti thread and learn bars and use em. Th little doo=dads around your piece dont do anything for the piece, ditch those. Simple letters+simple fill with a CLEAN outline, maybe 3d or drop shadow if you wann practice, and a background. Thats really all you need right now. Definitely give new to graffiti thread a thorough look through...

Hak- That's your first piece ever? Looks better than my first and better then a lot of people posting here hahah but definitely needs work. But youre using bars, keep using them. The D and B get absolutely way too fat. The whole curved part of the D is too fat in respect to the Vertical bar in the D. The bottom curve of the B is waaaay too fat compared to the vertical bar and upper curved part. The bottom of the S is way too fat too. I know what look youre trying to go for but you cant pull it off yet, you need more practice. As for actual letter shapes, those aint bad. Only thing I say is fix the B and D so you they look like regular b's and d's, like on the keyboard. The extra bar part hanging off the edge of the letters isnt working. Keep practicing simps and use the same width bar throughout the piece so it doesnt get too fat in some parts.

junglizt- you look like you know what youre doing. Clean for the most part, looks like youve got a grasp on the basics. This is where I don't know if it's just me, or if it's even wrong at all, but I don't like the style of the letters. I can't tell if they're nice or not, because I don't really like the style of the letters. Some of them like the H and N, are posed really weirdly and the extensions look weird. Again I dont know if its just cause im not a fan of that style. But you understand letters and colors and cleanliness so thats good

truth- some of those throwies almost look good for beginner, You definitely need to switch up those t's they dont work with the throw. I would also suggest not using a fantip on paint until you have good handstyle steez. The piece really isnt that bad. Ditch the dumb things you add to the end of your bars though. They look like tails or seriffs or whatever but you dont have enough style to add those and make them work yet. your actualy letters look pretty good, simple and no dumb extensions. Fix the horizontal bar on the H tho, looks dumb. Make it a normal sized bar and itll look good. Fix the R. make the top part curved, not two bars meeting in the middle. Dont have so much negative space in your throws either

Rats- im almost a fan of that. lol. Sounds douchey but the style is just a bit off for me. Your bars do some crazy shit and make weird shapes which throws me off. That T-S connection is sick though, work that connection with a new S and i'd love it. The A just doesnt seem to fit in for me, i get its supposed to be raised higher than the other letters but it just looks small. And i Dont like the bars on it. Make it the same-ish size as the others?
