Ran out of time on the N. Gonna redo it with pencil maybe and fix it up but anyways here's a pen jam from lunch break
Wait, did I just get called toy? By sycophant? Wat. Guess I should use pencils and spend more than a few minutes on a doodle. Thought I had a pretty good handle on the structure of the 3 letters I write........ fukkbois
Are these sketchs more in the right direction? i tried to follow your advice with removing the overlap and keepin em barish, thanks btw bugs, Also thoughts on the tags below, I personally think i like 1 the best but any tips as to how to improve it let me know thanks again.
@ i like pie, is there anyway to improve the quality of your photos? it would be real beneficial for me and others in terms of giving you feedback
I don't want feedback, I'm just doodling other people's names and posting them. The first one is Sulk and the second is Beavr. What part of Denver you in? Btw, the letter V is absolute bullshit.
lookin super fresh stoke. i like the lean in the O. Heres some work from yesterday (page 1) and today (page 2). Crits would be dope.
booooooo Skelz, learn how to use bars. I'll post something here in a little bit on bars for you. Oh and if you go back a page, I wrote your name for shits and gigs
So you start off at step one. You build your letters from bars, not overlapping, just real simple shit. With those bars you can start adding little doo dads here and there. DO NOT make them actually necessary to the letter's construction, just have them come where they feel natural. Step two is when you're fully comfortable with how your letters work and you start messing with the bars, but you maintain the same basic structure. Bend them, make the width of the bars vary, do what you want. Extensions stay basically the same, but are less necessary right now because you're finding your own style, and you don't want to clutter yourself with whether or not "this arrow looks right here". Sidenote, if you're wondering if something looks good, it probably doesn't. Step 3 is when you actually find your style, the bars kinda drop out of regularity due to the fact that you know how letters are built now (I still use them here and there to break my letters up into manageable/drawable portions). This is where your hard work pays off. Granted, the progress between doodles is kinda... large? I didn't feel like trying to make things too simple, and instead, promote experimentation. Everyone spits out some ugly ass pieces at some point in their life, it's a matter of knowing why said piece is ugly. *Edit* Was cruising thru the thread and yung Grabs, get at me, we in the same town currently. You fucks need to post more often. I'm trying to help.
praticed a couple pages of bar letters, starting to get comfier with where exactly bars are supposed to connect, playin with bending em a bit and adding doo-dads. let me kow thoughts, advice, crits, etc thanks
i dont, why? is it cause there sketchy rather than solid lines? Edit: im gonna assume yes and post some with solid straighter lines Heres more, no sketching. more to come. Im aware its shit i just wanna keep imrpovin jah feel
