Travel is kinda long for a name, and your skill level is low for a wall. Simps. Lots or simps. You need to understand your letters more.
But the part I find fun is hitting walls and tags mainly tags but if its a big wall tag looks dumb so I do bigger stuff!
^^^ Of course thats the fun part. No one gets into Graff just to practice. To rock walls first you gotta learn the basics. Its like trying to play baseball without knowing how to swing at a ball. Learn how to do letters before trying to piece or tag. If you just decide to keep painting without learning shit then dont get hurt when everyone goes over your shit and you get no respect.
You should practice your lettering and at least have your basic letter structure down before you get up, no point in getting up if your shit sucks, its either going to get dissed, or in a few months you'll be better and you'll hate your old stuff. Try basic keyboard letters TRAVEL, as leaks said thats kind of a long word but whatever. Keep all bars the same width, dont add any fancy shit, then once you can do that perfectly try doing it in italics style TRAVEL then once you perfect that you can start adding bends etc, but you need to practice and figure out how your letters fit and work together, it takes a long time. For a while I wouldnt even bother adding colours etc until you have a basic grasp of letter structure. Your stuff is by no means the worst toy stuff posted on here, so if you dont get ahead of yourself and keep to the basics you should be ok. Work on a tag, if you want to get up then get your tag looking good and maybe a throw. Get up with those, but doing big pieces before working on your letters is a waste of paint.
I see! Ok thanks I'll work on that stuff I might change name so depends if I come up with something I like. What ye think of swae or Clem? I mess around with some letters I guess and see what I take a fancy too!
Youll probably go through a couple different names, certain letters go well together better than others which is something you'll figure out.
Ya its hard find something good to stick with. I just thought maybe if I stayed working on the same letters I'd perfect them eventually!
I find that trying different styles often helps me improve others I was having trouble with. Practice needs a healthy amount of diversity as well as consistency. Sticking to the same thing for too long can produce stale work. Obviously, for the moment, you've got a good bit of practicing to do before you should really get into experimenting. Just don't be afraid to when the time comes. Flick for the chatter:
travel, practice and experiment you'll get results soon enough mate grabs, nice throwie man simple and clean more random letters 'moba'
Travel keep doing stuff like that that's the way to go. Sabter read what i said to travel on the last page and do stuff like that. Tag isnt too awful simplify it a little n keep doing in repeatedly
SABT thats a good start, but try and make all of the bars the same width through the whole pice like this for example Make your tag more simple too, I cant even read it now, just write SABT like that, keyboard letters, trying to keep letters evenly spaced, once youve done that a few hundred times and can do it easy then start having all the letters touching or slanted a little, without any extentions or loops or crowns, get an old phone book, or any book, if its 100 pages and you do your tag 10 times on each page thats 1000 tags, then do the other sides of the pages and thats 2000 tags, if you keep it simple and do it that many times guaranteed you'll see improvement. I practice my tag when im sitting watching tv just doing the same one over and over and it helps
thanks bugs maaann travel, looking good I like the negative space in the top part of the S it looks mean, the A is pretty cool too
Thanks junglizt! What ye think of this? Anyone got any tips on the s? I find the s the hardest letter.
