@ClickinClackin: You should get another book and start sketching. My personal opinion drawing on the pc is not gonna help you progress like the good ol' paper and pencil. @Travel: Not a bad start to the swae sketch. The bend on the W is not working though. W/O the bend it would look better. Also even out the 3D.
A lot of you kids need to learn that simplicity is key when starting out ,most people just jump on the I'm gonna try and do a wildstyle piece cause graffiti is cool train and end up having shifty work and terrible letter composure and shut style minimalist approach is the best when first starting in the game don't try and jump skill levels work and build up your style and letter form before taking on any extra baggage... By doing that you'll avoid the stress andbullshit a dumb ads toy goes through ...
Crits please, haven't started shading yet just need some tips. This was done at work haha. Tag is rot, need help making the O and the T flow together more I know.
Rot go more simple. Look thru this thread for the same advice everyone gets. couple of H0 scales from some people you may have heard of the grominator, soak and thief
asur...not bad the 3d on the bottom could use better consistency and on the R the kick leg needs a bit of work maybe strtch it out and fatten it up Oral.. the pen work is not bad but you should be bustin crisp line by now ... slow down and be more deliberate , the right sideways one is nice clena it up >> looni that grominator is sick and the skull on the thief is slick the s on the soak .... the o's look like low a's...nice collection
No ur not. Cut it out and do straight letters. Some quick joints from work probably gonna paint the bottom one
JuJu, you're having the classic problem all begginers have, and that is over complicating your letters. I'm going to try and work on a new thread explaining this more in depth. This is what your letters should look like. JuJu or Juju or JUJU Play with these. What you need to master is letter structure. Letter structure is the defining trait(s) of each individual letter, or in other words, what makes a J and J, a U a U, and what makes a J different from a T or an L or any other letter. Make THIS your number one priority, and don't worry about those little extensions (like the arrow, and the little half squares coming out of the top and bottom of the J). Work on the angle of the letters, your outlining and line work around the letters, and the spacing and sizing of each letter to one another. Simplicity is your friend. Master that and you will be 1000X better! Now get to work homie.
Try something like this Juju. Just a quick 2 minute thing for you Here's a couple Ls I just did. Slow day at work
all you kiddos asking for cries and what not need to take notes go back a few pages, stop over complicating things letters, names and actually looks, read and pay attention to what the old heads are advising..if not you'll keep on doing some weak baby powder soft boo boo letters with no style and no essence..so take notes kids class in session..
