what a load of bullshit. people are so fuckin brainwashed.

you dont need an education to get a good job. you dont need an education to start a business. A little tenacity goes a long way.

You don't NEED an education, but it would probably help. I only have a highschool diploma and i have a career, a 401k, insurance etc, but i dont make as much miney as i would with a degree.

To make it without education you just have to work your ass off. I was an all D/C student as well. But im intelligent, i just never did shit and slept all day.

All im sayin is dont try to be gangster, dont try to be something your not, do you and fuck what people think. A lot of us here have been down that road or live that life and it aint always that great. Cause youll live fine but when you finally try and get a house or some kind of loan or get out it makes things tough, thats all. Mars aint gunna listen anyway cause none of us would have at that age.

I feel ya bugs, if it wasnt for my fiance id be stuck in the hood. She put me on all her credit cards and pulled my credit up like 300 points.. fuck im old.. lol

Side note though, as long as we get this house, it is on the running route of my old boss, and its bigger than his house. Thats fucking winning right there.

Only time il agree with mistah ribbedick over here. You don't need to go to college but it can help. I'm making more money than most of my friends that went to school and I'm defiantly in a much better position in life than all of them.

In retrospect tho, you're gonna find out that really doesn't matter in life. And this might sound kinda queer. But bullying doesn't actually accomplish much. And there are adult bullies more so in the adult world than you might think. But you can't just beat every kids ass you see cuz when you're an adult you can't just kick someone's ass. You could, but you're gonna get charges pressed against you. The trick I think to truly winning is actually to outsmart someone. Make them your bitch per se. My boss is a bully. But my boss is actually my bitch and she doesn't even know it. It's cuz I'm smarter than her. Not in an arrogant way. BUT you can be clever and cunning and it's way more useful and practical to use people to your advantage...I know that sounds fucked up, and it kind of is, but you can do it respectfully without treating them like dirt. Whooping ass isn't gonna get you very far. But being smart and clever will.

One day you're gonna wake up and wonder where the time went. You've got a Lotta living left...unless you're a complete fuck and get yourself killed. Old maybe, but there's some wisdom here from us that's for sure. I can relate a lot to these guys. Our life stories are different and our paths are too, but there's a lot of parallels in what these guys are saying

Uhm you could practice your tags and your throw ups instead of just talking the whole time lol. You wanna be involved in graff, you actually gotta practice. I draw as much as I can even at work. I draw on the floor and on lunch I'm always drawing. Now get to it squirt!

Loonaii, He probably is doing it for attention, but I did the same shit along with many of you. Unfortunately for some of us, we didn't have the Internet, or forums, or even a mentor, for a long time when we first started. I lashed out because that's what everyone was doing around me and that's what I thought was cool. I was lucky enough to have an experienced writer take me under his wing, even though I was the biggest jerk off kid you ever met, and show me what to do, and not to do.

The point is Mars, you have a resource here that some of us wish we had when we were coming up. So treat this like a privilege and soak up as much knowledge as possible. You are obviously dedicated to graff, so put some of that dedication into creating positive situations for yourself instead of more negativity.

Just to touch on the education aspect a little. I would have completely agreed with those of you who say an education doesn't matter a few years ago. However, my tune has changed, and I am a huge supporter of higher education. I was barely able to keep food in my wife and kids mouths a few years ago and now, after getting my education in my 30's I am able to make a shit ton more money and I work for myself. Doing what you ask...making fucking letters, my favorite thing to do in the world.

Freelance Graphic Design. I do a little book cover design. It’s kinda cool but I hate working for clients - must be the “writer” in me that doesn’t like doing it someone else way. My main focus for the last few months has been Typeface(Font) Design and handmade-type logos. I am not gonna post any of my published work, because I don’t want the powers that be, or you motherfuckers, to know who I am, LOL! But here is a book cover I designed to get a contract I wanted with a Publishing House. Anyway, hope you like it.
