When you're in a crew tho aren't they pretty much all homies? I mean isn't that how crews develop?

I started my own crew with a kid I used to wrote with but it was lame. Lol FTB. Fuck the buff. Didn't rep very well. That was back when I was major toy like 6 years ago

Depends, large crews in big cities/areas may have members that dont know each other really other than what they write and that their in the crew. I still rep the same crew i always have but its pretty much just me now lol

I always said fuck a crew but I linked up with my homie demo when I moved here to the west coast and he's been repping his crew for a minute with his old homies from his old town and after a couple months of painting together he just threw me on lol. If I was back home in Toronto bombing tho I'd probably look for a crew to get some lookout help n shit.

On another note I'm excited as fuck. Found a wholesale store selling rusto for $2.50 shit is $8 in store here. Just grabbed some but will probably go back and stock up. Rusto is the shiet. Here's the colors I copped

^Nice dude. Hope you like it

So I read this thing today, about someone doing "graffiti" in a national forest. The location isn't important but I have a question...the article called it graffiti but it wasn't anyone's name. It was just a bunch of colorful circles. Kinda lame, bUT that's besides the point...I'm wondering why they called it "graffiti" cuz why is that considered graff?
I guess my question is what is your definition of "graffiti" and what separates someone's name from someone doing something with spray cans? Is doing anything with spray cans considered "graffiti" or does it have to have a word associated with it to be considered graffiti?

Also, just an observation I've been noticing, most news associated with graffiti, whether it be someone's name or just anything done with spray cans, always seems to be "bad news" and it pisses people off. But my question is what kinda graffiti, or where, would someone be able to do something that the news covers as "good news"? I know there's hardly ever any "good" news out there, but I'm curious, what do you think would attract positive attention to graffiti in the news without people associating it with being vandalism? And even if it is still vandalism, what or where would people see it and say, "wow that's awesome" or "that's an improvement"

Just curious what you guys think and what ideas you might have about those things.

Graffiti is an art form and it can't be denied, but some are stubborn headed and don't see that. I sorta have this idea to somehow get people to open their eyes to see what graffiti is all about. Not to encourage everyone to do it, but maybe to get it more accepted. Idk I'm just ranting here. But just looking for some feedback.

Edit: just so you guys no, I'm not opposed to offending people, cuz graffiti just does that, so fuck em. But really I'm just curious if there's even a way to make it less offensive I guess.

Well the news is trying to incite emotion because that's what pays. It's a lot easier to get people mad about somethings illegal than to get them to stand behind it. Only positive coverage you'll see is legal walls or if the rich and famous speak favorably on it.

That's bullshit about the forest "graffiti". People are trying so hard to take shortcuts to being noticed.

That's what I think too. I mean. This is sorta a historic place and he goes and does that. I mean honestly it wasn't that great. I'm not opposed to graffiti anywhere, but I mean common law says to be sort of respectful about it. A good graffiti artist (in my opinion) knows the rules and keeps it respectful (in some ways) but a place like that is sorta just asking to be called a fuck head. I mean the guys an idiot cuz he also let people take pictures of him. Probably not willingly, but he didn't hide his face or anything.

And I read the comments for stuff like that and people say shit like "they should cut his hands off, that'll teach him a lesson"

Like are you fucking kidding me? It's paint. Sure it's bullshit what he did. But roll the fucking wall with grey and call it good. Power wash it or something idk. People just get so worked up about little bullshit. Sure it's historic, I get it, but really? Is graffiti that ugly to people? Even if it's only to some, get the fuck over it, it's art and if you cant accept that you're a moron

Fuck that noise man graffiti is about destruction. Go paint anywhere only places that aren't really cool is people houses unless it's their garage in a alleyway. And schools/churches

Lol alright I can agree with that to an extent. I guess I'm one of those guys that likes graffiti most anywhere, but my preferential place to destroy is under bridges n tunnels n shit cuz down there it's nothing but concrete n metal. It'll stay there for a long time and I can spend as much time down there as I want. I don't really live in the "bombing" community so the "destruction" is taken more seriously here...Altho my city claims to be "artsy" but that's a load of bullshit honestly. It's that hypocritical preppy shit that you can stand in front of for hours and contemplate it's meaning, but it actually means nothing. Just some random splatters of paint and lines that don't actually make anything. That's the definition of "artsy" out here.
But then you get guys who go and paint something on a hiking trail and people flip their shit. I personally don't care, I just think the guys an idiot for doing it in broad daylight on one of the most popular hiking attractions in the city. If it was at night, I highly doubt it would've gotten any media attention, but since he was caught doing it, here comes the news.
