This is a cliche topic but it's bugging me lol. I've been hearing rumours that Banksy is connected to Bristol music groups Massive Attack and Allflaws. Also links to Geoff Barrow from Portishead. The interesting thing is both guys from Massive attack and Allflaws do subversive visual art and have been active in Bristol for well over 15 years. Their music is also laced with political references and subversion. Some say all these Bristol musicians are all in on it together and are sharing the rewards. Who knows? Anyway be interested to get some feedback as I'm tired of not knowing the mastermind or masterminds behind this project.
The gossips about this are all over the UK press, that's pretty incredible if you ask me http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4761376/Banksy-DENIES-Massive-Attack-musician.html Love him or hate him, but you can't ignore him.
Yes that's what I first thought. Now it has seemed to gone in the direction of some Bristol musicians. Here is some old footage of the guy from Massive Attack doing a stencil.

Who gives a fuck?!?! Dude lives his life in anonymity, as most graffing tag bangers should, and you're looking to snitch him out? Were all the gossip & shit to be true, the only real story would be don't ever tell anyone who you are or that you write- especially your friends and such. They're the first to show off that they know someone who does graf.
Yeah I get you. This is a fascinating one though. Staying anonymous for so long in a CCTV police state is pretty amazing.
^^^The better question is why would the cia or any similar agency in another country care? With all the serious shit that goes on in the world, it would seem pretty absurd for governments to use their top policing and information agencies for catching someone who paints pictures on walls. Let’s be realistic here...
