    Can I get any opinions?
I did a couple more throwies on walls but they only get worse (the pink one was the first one I did).
I wanted to come up with different letter shapes but it's really hard for me

Honestly the way I see it is you're doing pretty good, if you're not satisfied with it after the outline try some cutbacks provided you have enough paint. Very meticulously go over it again and be patient enough to let it dry before using the second color. I don't know what caps you're using but trying some new ones is worth a try; also realize that the longer you make a line (time/length) the more your hand shaking will appear in the throw. This is something I fight too because my nerves are so ruthlessly shot.

Your drops turned out nicer than most of mine so fuck it honestly, I say you did good. If you had done the outline with a fat cap I bet you would have been happy with it.

Cant yall get some plywood on your backyard? Hate to see decent walls go for some throwup with lines looking like they were made by a parkinsons patient with nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

Thanks dog. Guess I gotta get a job soon so I can graduate from them 99¢ cans lol. Can you send me a pic of what you mean by the classic NY W, I've written it like a hundred times but can't come up with anything clean. Not tryna bite, just for inspo.

@Tuke this IS my backyard. If you don't like it, tag over it

Oh so it wasn't rusto? Then you should rack a few till you get a job it looks just like rusto that isn't mixed.

Also here is what I mean by classic nyc styles.

    aimage.ibb.co_hhgK2o_nyc_throw_ups.jpg

Honestly dude don't be afraid to make a derivative style especially when you're new, if people were genuine on the subject the idea of what's biting is loose in that regard as long as you don't make an exact copy. What's great about these is you do the hollow; like you did. Then you fill the entire hollow up with paint. See how each letter is overlapping the next? It makes filling it up cake, by the end of the fill it's going to look basically like a blob of paint. But then you use contrast when picking the outline color and go over the hollow lines you did in the beginning which fleshes the entire throw up into what it is. Then another great thing about throw up is the drops are super easy. Typically the light source is up and to the right on throws, which makes the shadows down and to the left. So go over the left side with thicker paint, then basically mirror the bottom just however slightly lower and off center towards the left. It doesn't have to be a thick change to still be a drop; it just gives the throw some definition. When you're comfortable with hollow, do a real throw up.

That's a really nice piece you're good at painting. The only criticism I can really offer that is the dimensions of the 3D are consistent except for the inside of the U and the direction of the light source is consistent except for the highlight on the G

Did another one today, but with double outline and cutbacks in places that I didn't like. Fucked up the shading, but I like it more than the last one I posted. Thanks for the tips

Get yourself a cap adapter and some new york fats and I think it will make throws easy to learn. Seriously NYC fats are good for basically everything my dude.

This post still looks active so I have something to post to. Nothing much much, just paper sketches but I would like to hear some crits

If the drop shadow is on the left (meaning your light source was up and to the right) then when you do the bottom you mirror it more to the left, other than that the bubbles look nice and balanced but you might want to get rid of the negative space ( the O's) because when you're spraying it on a wall that's going to save you some trouble. Instead replace them with lines or curved lines. If you can still paint your throw quickly it doesn't 'really' matter; but typically speaking you want to toss as much negative space as you possibly can.

Yeah I'm about to make an online order for some different kinds of caps and some cans. Not sure which brand has the thickest low pressure paint though.

Thx for the advice man, appreciate it. I will work on it a little more and then go to some walls. I have a nice small abandoned complex like 300 meters away from home, it's perfect

Flame blue is the best low pressure paint you can buy on the market, it's also pretty economical. If you want to mix it up I would use flame orange or ironlak (variable pressure) for the fills and blue for the outlines.

Keep in mind that the colder a can is the lower the pressure; and you can also artificially lower the pressure by holding a can upside down and ejecting some of the aerosol. So if you want paint to come out smooth and buttery don't keep it in a hot place, or even intentionally keep it in a cold place. I started really taking graff seriously on new years so everything felt low pressure.

When you use a can of aerosol paint the can gets really cold for thermodynamic reasons I'm not going to explain, but basically here is what you want to do on the fly while you're waiting for the fill to dry. Place the fill can next to the side of the outline can and wait a few minutes for the pressure to change. This only works if you just tossed out a decent amount of paint on the fill can.

When you order caps go ham on the new york fats, they're your right hand man. They'll do tags, flares, fills, and outlines. With technique you can get some low output and thin lines from them. I also highly recommend the cyclone cap for your high output fills, they're fucking insane. Pink dots work too but not like cyclone. Sharp shooters are pretty cool for detail but don't use them on high output cans, the outline caps are okay but not "great" or anything.

I regret not getting a ghetto blaster in my last order, so if you have the option don't make my mistake. They look absolutely insane for tags.

I just started to take Graff seriously like a week ago, I already used to do some simple tags in my town but I really want to get out there and do some throwies, I tried 2 different styles, which do you guys prefer and if you have some tips, tell me! I think the first one looks cooler. If I were you, I would try to make every part of each letter equally thick and make letters go over each other a bit more to get rid of that blank space - it would make the throw cleaner, easier and faster to do.

If possible get rid of the negative space. It will save you trouble when you decide to step up from hollows.
