For me, the best one is 94 Cap. Montana lvl.1 and Blue softs are also good. And from fat caps: Astro or classic OrangeDot. But depends on you what you want to spray..

    NY Fatcaps for flares
    Astro Fat for flares
Pinkdot for fills or throwie outlines
Needle caps for tags high off the ground
Montana level 1 for skinny lines (Piecing)
Montana level 6 for super fat lines (Throwie fills or huge tags)
Yellow fat/Clash fat for flares and fills

You can actually outline and fill in with NT Fats...

I know, they're just not as good at that job as something like a pinkdot or a yellow fat if you have any form of can control, at least from my experience

NY fats and NY thins were the first caps to come on the market for graffiti writers so we used to use the NY Fats as more or less an all purpose fill in/outline cap because we would often run out of other caps we still had to rack.

The other main Fatcap at the time came off of some industrial window cleaner..if you ran out of those and every can in your town was sitting on the shelf in the store without a cap because you already stole them all then you knew you could always use a NY Fat to fill in and outline your piece.

I know this and i like the ny fats, but if you're filling you're usually using the cap for longer periods, where the small top of the ny fat can get very uncomfortable, while the pinkdot or other euro-style caps are way more comfortable for prolonged use.

I wasn't disagreeing with you I was just pointing out that the NY fat is also a good general purpose cap if that's all you have.

If I was stranded on a desert island and could only bring one cap with me...

I basically only use ny fats but just recently i tried the mtn lvl 1 and i loved it ,it gives you more time to think about were you have to make your line vs. the ny you have to move quicker to not get drips

I love the level 1 too, but they're very different caps for very different uses. One is a great all-rounder fat cap, while the other is a good all-rounder skinny cap. You can get very fine and precise lines with the NY fats, but it's way harder than with a level 1. The level 1 is better for skinny lines, while the NY fat can be used for pretty much anything. Its basically up to the person using on what to use.
