Also some ball point pen art is made using the ink and a homemade rub stick...it's good to be aware of that so you know why some of it might look so smooth.
When people talk about something to pass along information it helps them with they're own learning process because they are re edifying or rediscovering the subject smart ass.
Everything is in a good spot to build off of... spend some time and make your colouring solid and crisp. It’ll do wonders for your overall finished look. As far as letter structure goes stick with these simpler letters and when you sketch do them a few times and see how you can flow them into one another or add extensions off of areas to fill out or exaggerate parts of your structure. All without losing the letter structure. It takes time so give yourself a break and just have fun with it. When you feel like you’re in a slump is when you need to push the hardest. Even if you want to hang it up ,fight through those times because it’s then that you’ll find you truly evolve. Think of it like levels in a game. Early on you’ll learn a lot of things and you’ll feel those little level ups often , but as you go on through the years the time between those gets longer and longer. At least in my experience. Constantly stripping down style and rebuilding letterforms stronger than before. But it takes a loooong time. You’ll never be satisfied with your work enough to feel you ‘made it’ . And you never should because then you might as well hang it up . You won’t learn anymore being in that mindset. Sketching is great and I encourage it a lot. That said you need to paint enough to balance it. Your handstyle and can control should develop equally or faster than your ability to draw and do pieces.
