Hey I never said elbowmack is totally shit. He definitely knows what he’s doing when it comes to letter structure. I was just saying that SOME of his pieces were just kind of awkward visually. It’s totally on the opinion based side of things but give me a chance and I could point out a couple of things that would make things much more visually appealing. I’m also out traveling rn but I’ll post some of my shit when I come back.
The letters shrunk after the first one try keeping them consistent also id advice to keep bar widths consistent too just so u have a better understanding of simples then once u have solid simples u can make ur thin to thick widths look better IMO
Actually....You said only "Toys" Like my pics and as you can see I have more likes than posts We battle every two weeks and so far you havnt really showed me shit!! I fail to see how not using colors makes a piece personal but Ill gladly do a Grey scale piece for this next battle. Lol As far as my advice goes...I dont give advice on letter structure or specifics. Ive never told anybody to do what I do or follow my lead but rather to do what they like. I also have never jumped on anybody for liking someone elses work. You are quick to trash somebody for their opinion and you dont even know what they like about the pieces. Maybe its the fill, color scheme, etc?? You dont know!! My advice is usually to ignore your rants because what you give is not constructive criticism but just a bunch of shit talking!! While you say you post here to motivate and help others, Ive yet to see it. I come here for constructive crits on my work and you are incapable so lets just "stay in our lanes" as you put it. Dont comment on my shit and I wont comment on yours. Im sure everybody else is tired of this drama as am I!! Peace
The edit of ur sketch is just to show u what i mean about keeping widths consistent. Nothing wrong with going from thin to thick but it looks wonky atm.
You know when someone wiser than you tells you not to do something and then you go and do it anyways and it blows up in your face and your like fuck i should of listened to so and so. Its the same thing.. and either you'll listen now and get start getting better, you'll ignore it and stay wack forever or you'll waste years doing the same shit that never improves and eventually come to the realization on your own, and you'll start improving, but likely the realization you will come to is the advice that you chose to ignore in the first place...

But the over laps are off . The top of the a and n are to close witch makes the flow of the n hide to much behind the a . If it was space a bit mor there and you made the right bar on the n shorter you could make the t flow the other way with the top highest lean being above the shortened n and then could go as far as bending the other lean to the t to match the g flow . But I know your useing a new name but if that makes scence to you .youll be able to apply it to your new shit
