Some quick sharpie slop.wanted to try out these jelly rolls satire told me about. .and I have to say by far the best thing for highlights iv found yet ... thanks alot big dawg .
I second that. The orange Grum is amazing! Nice letter structure and great colors. That storefront... Is that two pieces?
Thanks homie, store front is two pages, cut the storefront windows and door with . Xacto and used packing tape for broken glass
Eliminate the excess. Simplify the piece and all you have left are the letters. Structure and layout speak volumes in a finished piece. You can mask and disguise weak points with bright colours and a ton of doo dads and bits but you’re only fooling yourself. I’m all about finding smarter and more visually appealing ways to connect letters so the piece has a flow within it as well as a whole. Where , you can start with the first , and follow as smooth as possible through the connections. Over the years I’ve simplified and re built only to simplify and rebuild again and again every couple years. I can only speak on my experience, but what I’ve found is that in order to take steps forward I need to take steps backwards every once in a while to really break down an understanding of the letter structures. While equally important to search for new ways to add extensions and connections After a while I find I fall into bad habits and need to strip all the extra shit away piece by piece paying close attention to things that actually work, and things I’ve tricked myself into thinking worked but in reality don’t fit in the style or execution. It’s a never ending evolution to develop and I’m enjoying the ups and downs. I’m looking forward to painting this outline as soon as I can.... should be a really funky one
