    At first he told me not to spray on flats and then just dont spray since i could work a bit more on my tagging. But i usually tag with markers but both of my markers are out of ink and since i was frustrated of that yesterday i just pulled the can out of my pocket and threw a quick tag on a flat.

    Most of the times i just spray on abandoned houses or on spots that are already tagged by others if i have an open space

    I mean its up to you. There's no rule that says you cant use spray cans to get up - only the rule they use to arrest you for doing it...

    I think they probably suggested it for the same reason i would (if i recommended anything and i dont) - less things for you to worry about so you can focus on the other stuff like not getting caught and having lots of practice

    Nah i wont get arrested since im bombing at night and only when noone is around. And also here in greece i dont think police cares so much as they sometimes dont care about other more serious crimes

    Oh you're in Greece? Nice - when i was there last (2016) there was graff everywhere.

    In that case my answers slightly different. The stuff before about practice still applies, but i have extra suggestions:
    1) dont paint anything overly political. I know its probably really relevant but that's the whole point -i remember seeing a bunch of angry political rants and when you see it so much it gets tacky. I said theres a lot of graff in Greece, but i didnt mention that there is also a lot of BAD graff in Greece, so the best way to stand out is gonna be having something stylish and clean, as opposed to hitting otherwise clean old coastal towns, which leads to my next point;
    2) please dont paint anything in those little towns by the sea - you know, where people go in summer to grow crops and stuff and they have all those super old style greek cottages? This is coming a foreigner who has ancestral roots in Greece, but its sooooo sad to visit these beautiful coastal villages by the ocean and theyre serene and beautifully kept except for a long, red line of political rant written with the most disgusting letters from end to end on the road into town... idk it just looks shit and it looks even shitter because it ruined something nice. Its also pretty toy, in that no one is ever gonna see them except the old people that own property there whose homes got ruined. Finally you got Athens, which is (no offense) a pit, so if anything stands to deserve being defaced...

    Anyway youre right - where i live, the police are much more strict about graffiti, so whatever i suggest comes from a radically different perspective

    I don't want sound like an ass but can control may be a pain in your ass since you're just starting out so I suggest that you should get a can or two and just practise in some abandoned place, that way you wont have to worry "how well" your tag looks. Also I'd suggest that you start with skinny caps as i personally think that they're a good start.

    But yeah in general a marker may be easier for you so you can't go wrong with em, I personally use Grog squezers and i love em
