morning Folks, my lad has just took up spray painting, just before the lockdown i've got him some cans to do at home, we've started this weekend.

I've followed instructions for washing/cleaning his caps, paint thinnered, and then wd 40'd, with some manual paint removal. We've got a few caps though that seem to be clogged still, dont allow any wd through, and when i blow through them again, doesn't seem to be passing through.

Are these useless now, or is there anyway of opening these up?

If it makes any difference, the one common denominator amongst these were that they were all used for one particular can that doesnt seem to want to spray (brand new, another issue for another day) only getting drizzles of paint out (WTF brand).

Any pointers or advice for the new and inexperienced?

    cheers

You’re doing entirely too much. Spray at will, turn the can upside down and spray until all you get is aerosol. Clean cap.

hey folks thanks for the replies, nothing i did seemed to get these cans going, so i did what any rational person would, and bought some more, with a new set of caps.

The original paint all work with the new caps so i guess i've blocked the original caps i've got, not entirely sure how, but not matter what i use (i've got a cap cleaner spray) these wont work whatsoever.

they're going in the bin and i'll put it down as a lesson learned.

Ayyohh, thanks for that, i had also read that prior to coming back here, so, thats also a lesson learned, we're back painting again now

    thanks everyone :)
