So I am back. I‘m sketching every day and from time to time you find me at some walls. Usualy at the hall of fame in Lucerne Switzerland.

Welcome back bro.....I to am an aged writer that stopped for almost 20 yrs. ago similar to you. Started back about 4-5 yrs ago and do it just for the love of the artform. I dont bomb anymore but do mostly blackbooks, canvas, and the occasional legal wall. I am in the U.S. Do you currently reside in Switzerland?

Thanks Matt, like you I am doing mostly blackbook sketches and from time to time legal walls. I am not anymore in the shape to run longer distances to escape the cops ;-)
I'am Swiss so I live here. Where in the US are you based?
I startet again this year. Because of Covid I am working from home the last 5 months. So I won a lot of time because I don't have to commute every day. 3 hours every day. So I started to draw again sketches and after a while I went to the legal wall wich is 10 minutes from my home.

I am in North Carolina (East Coast). Where I am, we dont really have any "legal" walls that are open for anybody to paint. I have to approach buisnesses and ask if they will allow me to paint on their property. I usually have to paint something in line with their business but I dont mind too much as it at least gives me a chance to have a can in my hand. Here are a couple of the pieces Ive done.

Ah I see. I never been in North Caroline but pretty close. But pretty sure I will there one day.
It's pretty surprising that you don't have more legal spots. I we have in Lucerne 3 spots where it is legal. Pretty long walls.
I like your work! It's pretty old school style.

Here some works I did in the last months.

Thanks....my can control is not where it needs to be but its something Im working on! Your works pretty dope! Do you just buff any spot you want on the legal wall or is there some sort of hierarchy that you follow? Graff is still pretty much seen as a nuisence here so no legal walls. I would love to make it to Switzerland some time. I have a 1 yr old so right now we are not traveling at all with the Covid stuff and all:/ Do you come to the states often?

Oh yeah the can control is a good point. And the straight lines are very difficult for me. My arm is always shaking ;-) But it goes better and better every time.
We are usually once a year in the US or Canada. But with Covid there is no chance at the moment. If you make it to Switzerland let me know, then we go to a legal wall.
There are no specific rules. Just take your garbage with you and don't cross pieces with bullshit. It's your choise wich piece you cross. I usally don't cross the best ones only if they standing already for a longer time. So it is a very easy peaceful situation.

Check this page to find legal spots.

Thanks man.....Would love to come to Switzerland when the pandemic is over (Im also an avid snowboarder!!) If your interested, we do a bi-weekly battle in the Battle threads forum. Anybody can participate. We all do the same word and then we all vote. Whoever wins picks the word for the next battle. No prizes but respect. Its a great way to practice some letters, connections, etc. that you maybe wouldnt do. Current battle ends tonight. New one should start probably on Monday.

I was a snowboarder too. Then I gave up because we had some winters with really little snow. That was no fun. Last year I started skiing again. But I don't like it like years ago.
Sounds great. I will check on Monday. Thanks for the note!

Yeah... you clearly know how to paint but your letters are busted as hell. Draw simple letters. Write "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" over and over.

Thanks......I agree that those letters are not good. Those were done quite a while ago and the store owner actually requested some changes to the letters I originally proposed for clarity purposes (no connections at all)

Matt, you're in NC. I'm down the street a little bit in South Carolina now. I'm in North Charleston. But we also don't have any free walls down here. Society believes that graffiti is criminal and all gang related. Although we do have some young heads getting up around here, we don't have a lot to brag about.
But, I'm like Matt too. Did my bid back in the late eighties and nineties. Gave it up to try to make a career and only have picked back up recently in the past year or so. Usually I do small pieces for friends. No more bombing and running the streets. But get up and stay safe.

Right on...I spent week down at palm island last summer. I have some families family down there. Seems like a pretty cool place! My step sisters step son( basically some guy...lol) is building a big concrete skate park under some bridge there in the city.
