This can be seen from the MyPlayer manner of this 2k21 demo

RELEASE TIMING - Much like what we've seen in 2k20 and years previous. You imagine the rod and release it at the ideal time to have a perfect launch. There is other increments of shots (slightly early, slightly late and all that)

STICK ORIENTATION - If you play with 2KU or a Quick Game in the 2k21 demo, you will realize this strategy. It is purely about you holding the pro rod down and then transferring it slightly left or right with the aim being to find the shot at the coloured section of the shot meter. When you launch the rod doesn't make a difference. In fact you can hold it down the entire time (strange to hear, I understand, for those who have been utilizing the pro stick in years past ). All that's graded within this strategy is the way well defended you were and if your shot was too far left, too far right, or centered. This has been my favorite way to perform thus far. I feel like real-life players care less about when they discharge and much more about lining their own shot.

STICK ORIENTATION + SHOT RELEASE: This can be understood in the MyPlayer mode of the 2k21 demo. This mode is difficult! I envision this strategy might be used for ace 2k leagues as a way of creating a bigger skill gap? Perhaps? I'm not sure but it's pretty difficult to master. You have to release the ball at the right time in addition to line the shot up in the exact same time. I think a prior 2k used this scheme before but this time it feels much more fragile. In my experience MyLeague in 2k21 is Busted

If you simply play MyLeague and do NOT plan on upgrading to some next-gen console, 2K20 for $5 sounds like a fantastic thing. I made a nice build balance for my play style to where I can play on and off ball with the principal slasher second so shooting pie graph such as a tmac kinda. Wow they destroyed my construct and it was not even popular or OP. My complete Red, Str+Vert 6'7 PF got its own offensive and defensive rebounding, interior D, and obstruct all dropped 10 or more points. The vert is randomly 3 higher but speed and Agi are reduced and worst of all the Str is default lower without fostering weight 20-30 lbs. Strangely the standing dunk rating is way higher than last year. Rlly sucks I can not he a dominant Rodman kind without going 6'8 or higher.

Edit: I'll upload screenshots later but wow. Same exact build vs 2k20 and it's far lower physical features, terrible defensive evaluations and rebounding ratings but for the perimeter d. The bizarre thing is it has like 4 or 3 more finishing badges and 21 higher standing dunk? .

No greater feeling than blocking those 7'3 facilities in the apex lol. . .oh well. Please have an choice to return to the old shooter meter at the full game. New one is overly see through and big for me personally. I saw some thing where they could have both options. Together with the devs keeping everything confidential, I should have known the demo would have been precisely the same as 20. It feels like that they put zero effort into the current 2k. Then the fact after the demonstration released the devs stayed silent as if they do not care at all. I'll wait and see the next gen is I'm wasting time on this moot demo/current gen 2k.
