I know it ain't graff, but I wanted to try something really different. I know I don't stick to my own style and I try to do something relativily new each time. But I went with something cartoony since it is Acme. I just thought of Wile E Coyote's tools of his trade.
Thats a great attempt! A greater understanding of shapes, lighting & composition would go a long way here (and in that order of importance). I really encourage everyone to flex their creativeness beyond what their comfort dictates.
I appreciate the advice homey, really do. I try something different each time, in case you haven't noticed. My own style is the mid/late eighties block lettering, so I try to stay away from that and flex something different each time. Now I ain't bashing anyone, I just want to learn new things. Kind of like having a tool box with a diverse set of tools instead of just a few pieces. Jack of all trades, master of none. And I ain't going to lie, I look at everyone else's work and see what everyone else does. Add it to the arsenal.
I applaud you for all of that. In fact, I strive and preach the same ideas. I wholeheartedly believe that everyone should play outside their comfort level. Its how we learn and its how we figure what we can or cannot do. whenever I provide some sort of feedback on anyone's pieces its never bashing but, rather me trying to lift ppl up and support them as they try to reach higher standards.
