Tough decision, but Majk gmv. I Like the contrasts and style, but that color gradient/transition in the main body and the shade changes in the drop fill is what sold me. Killer pieces all around though
Winner of the "GOBLIN" is @InkedDnA deadline to pick the word is monday or @Matt Wrigh @watchawant @Side_One @Theillfunkfreaka @Andy B @majk p8cks the word tuesday
Thank y'all! Much Appreciated! Definitely going to finish this one 100%. I'll post the completed pic in a day or two when I can get some time to sit down and finish it up. Dope pieces in this battle! I was hoping to see some goblin characters in the mix, and was not let down. Thanks for bringin' the heat. I'm excited to see what y'all come up with for this next one. The word is "SUSHI"
Wanted to balance the arrows however didnt know what to do with the letter 'i'. It doesn't flow that well. Can extensions like arrows, chips, etc can be unbalanced and still look good on a piece or it has to be balanced?
Wel Well, let's start with the good news. All the letters but your "I" look fantastic. It would have looked fine if you did it as an uppercase "I" with a long bar like you have on the bottom also on the top. Your arrows are okay, and where they connect makes sense, but they make the overall flow look lopsided to me. Maybe that's a personal choice. Style often is. I would think if you made the right-hand arrow come from the bottom of the H on the same bar instead of the top, like you did (imagine the H flipped 180 vertically) then it would have worked better. Overall, it's one of your best in terms of overall structure. All the letters have fantastic consistency in bar widths and aside from that middle "S" being a bit bigger for my taste, the overall composition is good. I say all that without including the "I" as it is. I only am putting these crits out because it seemed like you wanted them, and I hope it's not negative crits. Overall, it's great.
Thanks for the feedback it means a lot. Its hard to replicate the same letter twice with the same balance especially on paper, but with practice I will get there sooner or later.
Didn’t think I was going to get this one finished in time! Didn’t get nearly as much time as I’d like to have gotten in on this one. Happy with the finished product none the less. Sushi
