I have almost been caught a lot tagging in the suburbs that's why I go to the city... my favorite place to tag even though it wasn't listed are watertowers... you get an extremely good view of the city and the ghetto is so beautiful when youre the highest thing in sight
i believe this "almost caught" thing is called getting chased. i could be wrong though........... if youve never had to run from police or property owners youre doin something wrong
either that... or you doing something pretty fucking right... haha the whole point about graff is that the only thing people notice is the art on the wall and not the one making it
well, chased can mean 2 things really. 1.) youre actually physically getting chased by a car or someone on foot or 2.) something comes up where you dont necessairily get seen but something comes up where you gota leave fast like, say youre boning a chick and all of the sudden her parents come home and you gotta book it out the back door or window or something. you didnt get seen by her parents, but you got chased ou by their presence
nice example, but i think psykaoz has it right, it's funnier when graff just starts appearing everywhere and no one has a clue who did it. But then again running from people is fun.
i duno i rarely run. running makes me sweat lol. like if cops roll up on me i act like i wasnt doing anything. works 95% of the time. the other 5% u get fucked over. haha
i actually got stopped at TA which was fucking gay so the next time i ran into st henri and got away from the 5-0 but now im being charged for somebody elses scratchies but i havnt gone to trial yet, either way its fucking gay considering ive never been busted criminal charges = 2 x mischief under 5000$ civil charges = 50, 000 + for over 60 windows (which is pure bs cause i kno my homies scratchies are ranging in the 100's)
been caught plenty but got a horror story....these kids repping a crew in Dallas called ER...well i know i guy who writes prime and well his buddies decided they would do a whole fr8 things didnt turn out the best dudes were not toys but had never done a whole car and it showed they had not enought paint to fill they didnt have but two rollers no ladder so they improvised and got the lightest kid to jump on my boy prime....long story short dude was finishing up the top and dropped a bucket of paint on his boys....yup coverd in paint at a yard it didnt help the color was red but they got caught because of the racket and the cops didnt want to put them in the squad car when i heard this i flored it i was laughing so hard ill never let that one down.
hehe,... Last time a uniformed guy nearly busted me, while I was doin some throwups. I was so damn drunken, that I haven't checked that he ran to me with a truncheon-link-thing in his hand and wanted to beat me up,... but I got away Some weeks earlier some f**cker told the owner of the club, that I was embellishing the restroom and so on,... I got busted and had to clean it up. Luckily no police bull.... but I never had to pay for it. However I was a frequenter at the police station back in the days it's part of the game. And it thrills when you're on the run and can escape
One of my buds got busted, tagging a school window during the day, we got away but he wanted to finish it, so he went back alone and someone was waiting for him. He couldnt run because the teacher was his old teacher and she already knew who he was, Haha. Funny thing is he got charged for criminal mischief over $5000 yeah thats what i said OVER 5000. They said it was the same thing as lining the whole school all the way around, someone tell me how that's possible? He was using water-based paint so it costed them probably about $2 to clean it off. It's Bullshit.
my schools were cool, we only had to clean it up. When we did a 30*2,5m piece at school, the cleaning/painting it over costs were about 100bucks for two buckets of white paint. _ However, a granite like wall 1/3 size can cost up to 4000 bucks. Hehe, the owner put up an announce to the local newspaper, that he will pay 8000 bucks for my head,...(and sumone has squealed) So I ask a friend who looks like a real rocker (leather, longhair, dressed in black) to give me an alibi - the cop himself is addicted to rockmusic, so he was very friendly to us,... said something like "the good ol times in rock music" and finaly said: "Hey, don't worry, I don't believe it was you and into the bargain, it was just an annoymous hint - so have a nice day and listnen to more rockmusic and stop illegal grafitty for ever." Hehe, there are so much storries,... so much dumb ass cops,..
My best time like this is when i was on my way to heworth to catch a bus home. me and aeiou were doing tags with my stainer. he got off the next stop whereas the police got on. they asked me what was in me pocket. "a bottle of leather die" i replied he then says "if there is any of that on this train your nicked" and i was loike "ok". Any way i got arrested for the tags. and when the metro pulled up at the stop one police man sat with me while the other went to tell the driver the situation. And when the doors opened at the next stop and the 1st policeman got off i darted out the door behind him, ran off the platform and ran down the lines to the next stop wich took about an hour i was SICK AS FUCK.
I like this thread,.... it was a cold septemberday in the late 90's. Me and my friend were out for fame and armed with markers, cans and stones for scatching and a bag full of becks-beer. We have been surfing the metro and doing outside tags while surfing and inside quicks with cans. Kinda risky stuff. Stopped at some stations to tag there.... but back at our station we jumped on the line to do throwups on the train. That was really a dumb ass action, because my friend got caught and some guy jumed onto me like in a bad cold sievers tv.serie. I was hell as drunken and was about to puke somewhere,... but there was no time. The guy just shouted that he got the other guy (me!),.. I don't know how I managed it, but I slipped of and kicked his head onto the rail. The was a lumpish sound - really ugly in my ears. I thought I could have been cracked up his brain. When I took a look back there was just his body laying on the rails. Scarry shit! I ran for about 200 meters and hid there in a backyard. I was even to afraid of smoking, by imagine that I've just killed a guy. After a while I thought to myself he can't be dead, because there was no police searching for me. So I came out of my hideaway and tryed to check the situation. First of all I've changed my clothes and put all markers/cans somewhere save and went back to the station. I saw my friend sitting in the police car,... he was fucked but kept his mouth shut.
haha been rolled on at the Ta twice i think... no 3 times. got away all 3 times by talking my way out of it haha though once it was just the owner of the building so i laughed at him and walked off. as for the over 5000$ thing. they have an intresting way of calculating damage based on the value of the whole building. dont ask. but that's what they do. haha a whole bucket of red paint that's fucking funny haha i had a crazt night once... had about 5 cops come on me as i was doing graff. like 5 different times in the same night. each time i managed to hide my marker or can fast enough, or they drove on behind me while doing 2 diff highway spots without even noticing me. some weird nights...
well, i sure learnd how to hop a fence inna damn hurry. haha i got caught onna fence and had to run with torn pants and i was wearing no undies! :blink: and dont even ask where the tear was...
aha, ^you better be a chick. Anyway a few weeks ago I was bombing a cement building near a school an out of nowhere these UCs roll across the field withch I was in the middle of and they book twards us an we jet on bikes an being chased around a field in a car while there trying to take flix of us an they roll right beside me an i look an see the cam. Shit, cause now they might or might not have flix of me so I keep bookin' across the field then into a parking lot near my buds house so i ditch my bike in a bush an go through a hole in a fence onto the highway(still being chased) then i ran home chilled for a bit then went out bombing again later. Pretty close but I still may be fucked who knows?
almost was caught stencilin in the day time by a renta cop, he was yellin at us and runnin after us, rather dumb because he had to be 300 or more pounds so on his part it was pointless. told him to fuck off and we walked away from him, we moped his little hybrid renta cop car that night. <_<
