Anyone here try sketching in pen? I always used pen, and just used pencil for the first time in years. Damn it makes a difference. Or do I just suck?

    what a toy.

yeah silly, you use a pencil. you're not going to be dope your first time and graf skills don't come over night kid. just sketch it with penc, then use pen/marker, then the 3D, then colors. that's all you need to know now. and everyone will tell you, dont mess with add-ons yet. till you get good.

i didnt really have a first black book. i just sketched my ass off with paper and shoved it in a binder. soon as your art is "blackbook worthy" you can throw it into a notebook or pick up a sketchbook somewhere. i save everything, literally.

i have two blackbooks. they both were about 5 dollars. anyway, one of them i use to just mess around and see how other new styles work. the other one i use to have my best stuff like styles that i liked i would just pass it into that one. also if i do a tagg and there is no way i could pass it into the other one, i just ripp the paper and glue it in the good one.

Just start off with printing paper when you get skillz just start tagging in a black book but be sure to put only your best pieces in it also have friends or crew memberz graff in it too. My black book is kinda like a big bible with blank drawing pages you can get them at Hobby Lobby for 15$. I also sketch out what im going to put in their before i actually do.

I take the leaves off of trees and press them, then bind them together to make my blackbook.

if u go to a borders that has one of those cafes, u can grab one of those nice sketchbooks, go sit down an take all the stickers and shit off, draw a bit in it... then walk out. I've done it a few times and if they give u shit just say that u bought it like last week or somethin

I hate sketch pads, i would just buy a sketch book its only about $5. Thats less than a decent marker now days.
