i was into hardcore for years but i kinda got out of it. too many bands doing the same things over and over again. it just got kinda tired. and so did i. i still listen to some hardcore bands like playing enemy, converge (anything before jane doe), coalece and shit like that but there is just too much bullshut out there. how many times can you listen to a band try and sound like converge. but i do thank hardcore for sending me in the right direction as far as independant bands, labels, etc.
anyone into mastodon? now thats a solid band.

 

what bands soumd like converge? maybe i haven't really heard much, but converge to me sounds more metal. like on poacher diaries. its a split w/ agoriphbic nosbleed. those guys are fuckin nuts speed metal. songs are like 30 sec. -1min long. i dont know...i guess i need to hear more converge to totally make a statement. good band though
