besides the ridge at the bottom of a hopper its a flat surface. more flat then the ridges on a boxcar or the bar on a flat.
^^^ really, who the fuck cares what type of car it is. all that matters is where its from and the chance of it going far, the farther it rolls the more chances its going to be seen by people outside your imediate area. thats really why people paint trains over walls, at least one of the main reasons. i'll take a wierd ridge anyday over something i see every day thats flat.
ill paint whatever rolls into the yard really....just so happens i got a cool autorack yard.....itd be nice to have some variety, but i will take what i can get.

[/quote] don't get me wrong, autoracks are some of my favourite things to paint but i'll pass them up and anything i see on a regular for a wierd shortline car or something i don't see alot. i do go nuts over auto's, only because where i grew up never got them or saw them. i still loose my mind when i see them.
