What happened to it? I assume you mean, why is there not more freights in it? Too many toys bra....rail companies were like "Shit dawg, our cars are getting mildly tampered with when parked here, guess we should like, park 'em elsewhere" No but reallly, you should ask yourself if it's a lay-up....just cause you see freights in a flick and multiple lines, you have no idea what's around the rest of the picture (feild of veiw).
maybe it wasn't an illinois flat. i can't remember. i have a full flick of it somewhere but i have no idea where it is. this is the freight i was talking about tho.
based on the colour, kind of box, and the doors....I'd say that's an MILW, or a it was a CPAA. Rarest it could have been....it's an old DTI
^^^ think you're right, it looks like an old faded MILW. if it was a DTI he would have remembered it, you can't forget seeing a pink DTI autoparts box. first 2 are mine the other 3 i found on a railfan site. What i ment was that line would lay up there 2 days out of the week, but i guess they moved it. Maby because people take pics in the daytime and heat shit out.
^^^ i really doubt they would stop laying trains up because someone is taking pic's in the day, could be any # of reasons. maybe the flick was taken on a day when things were slow, it happens.
dont the big open cars stay local to a certian area cause they carry trash and stuff? i know the big blue and green ones around here do.
yeah im pretty sure these ones do cuase i was in one town over and saw my shit and couple months later.
yeah, cause theres a chill place to paint in my area thats also an occasional layup and its usually the garbage trains taht are parked there and youll only see local heads up on em
