for some reason, id rather see abandonned things not painted cuz its like wasting paint on something noone will see unless its like visible from the road or where ppl will actually see it

[Broken External Image]:http://www.wraiths.org/Pad2_09.jpg a good example of what happens when you get lost in the tunnels [Broken External Image]:http://www.wraiths.org/Pad52.jpg wish i knew what was behind there [Broken External Image]:http://www.wraiths.org/Pad58.jpg smells great in there! The History Tranquille has from my count, 51 buildings containing over 25,000 sq. meters of rooms ranging from single bedrooms to large public rooms. The buildings are of various sizes from 3-bedroom houses to multi-storey hospitals, cafeterias, a central laundry and gymnasium. The buildings and landscaped grounds cover approximately 25 hectares of the total property. The buildings were built at various times from 1910 until into the 1970's. Some are in excellent condition while others require extensive renovations. All buildings were centrally heated through steam. A network of underground service tunnels interconnects most of the larger buildings. It was a city all on it's own, producing it's own meat, dairy, vegetables and fresh water supply. The only thing it had to import from Kamloops was electricity. Until the 1950's it was a Tuberculosis treatment centre. In the 50's it became a sanitarium. After serving as a sanitarium it was shut down due to the costs of replacing the asbestos used as insulation in the walls and currently sits untouched except by local youth, 15 min past the kamloops airport.
oh man i have countless flicks of shit like this...too bad theyre on my fuckep up computer. ill comtribute some goodies when i get it up and running again.
yo lyra, the mental hosptial near me is exactly like that, like the history ive read on it i can almost quote it to what you posted. its all just like a whole private community and crap and like they produced their own stuff and theres like 5 miles of tunnels connecting the buildings, i read theyre for maintnence but they were also used for transportation in the winter. some of it makes the places seem really boring so its better not to know sometimes. but theres still all the wacky stuff that went on in these places, like back when science hadnt proved what works and what doesnt, and they were doing crazy treatments and experiements to the patients. i think most of it is curiosity, just wondering what happened in these places when they were in use. its great.
some of the flicks i posted were from a polio camp in nothern cali hat was like 100 diffent buildings, most with little or no roof left some crazy rooms tho fo sure, incinerator rooms with little drains on the bottom and 1 foot thick steel doors and walls, no shit.
ha, ive posted a bunch man, heres a few more. i took these ones. i looked at half these pictures last night at 1 in the morning after getting back from seeing "the hills have eyes" and this picture scared the shit out of me. first time ive been really freaked out in years. i used to live in town that was party of the american industrial revolution back in the 1800's and there was entire city blocks of abandoned buildings, freaky shit when your 13.
theres a huge abandoned psycho asylum a few town away...shit has so many hobos and psychos still in it though that they still have secuurity there so no one goes in casue peopel get killed there and just die randomly all the time...i wanna do like a blare witch project movie in it...
dude id buy that film for sure anyways abandoned shit always intrigues me like a car in the desert makes me wonder how the fuck did that get there ??? and that abandoned rolercoaster was fucking shit scary
yeah i want to see 'the hills have eyes', that stuff is crazy to me. and that sounds sick about the 1800s city, so many things happened back then and were jus forgotten about. i just checked out an abandoned YMCA, when the pictures get developed ill post them..
