Hes speaking about the CEO's, the people in the Whitehouse, those record company cats that ruin this music that we all love. You think Mos Def is turning into the monster he once hated? I dont see him signed to Def Jam or Rocafella or some big mainstream record company. He was signed wit Rawkus until they went under and is now signed wit Geffen, which is a bigger label but not on the level of say Capitol or Sony, etc, etc. I went to a Blackstar (Mos/Kweli) concert about a month back. at one point mos was walking thru the crowd, he walked past me and i said whats up and shook his hand he said hey man whats up and went back on stage (i was in the front) anyways, im a white male...WHITE, and out of everyone in the crowd Mos shakes my hand and says whats up, cmon now. Dont hate on Mos and Kweli cuz there making moves, seems like as soon as they get mentioned on MTV all underground heads jump on them. I do understand how many are upset by the lack of lyricism in Mos's latest joints, i to was dissapointed in his latest stuff. But after hearing Mos/Kweli on Talibs latest joint Supreme Supreme you can tell that they both can still bring some heat. So dont give up on Mos yet, believe me, Blackstar will be back in affect, and drop another GEM.
