Abolish criminal penalties, that means that all the penalties could be gone, ex: no fines.

anybody ever get REALLY ripped off??

I was buying a dub from my friend, and he fucking sold me a bag of paper. It was wet, torn up phonebook pages, rolled into balls. He was in a car, and I gave him the money, and he handed me the bag.

what an asshole. We used to be good friends. I guess people change..

I know it was just 20 bucks, but man
it feels terrible having a friend do that to you.

Back in the day, I went to score some dope, had a straight 100. Met the dude, got 2 1/2 tens. (25 Bags) And it was pure shit, it was crystalized and white, nothing like the tan flakes and power I usually get. Im not sure if the dude even knew either, he might of bought it and thought it was regular shit and just sold it. I know this isnt weed, but still.

Dealing and just overall goin to score shit is so much differant in the ghetto than it is in the suburbs... So Spetz I doubt youd do shit.

As a student currently undertaking a degree in Criminal Law, that is incorrect. There are two types of law courts in Canada, those being Civil Law and Criminal Law. Criminal law has three categories, which are: Criminal Offences (jail time), Summary Offences (fines), and Hybrid Offences (both). If marijuana would become decriminalized, it would leave its current Hybrid stage, and move into a Summary Conviction, with regulations on "amounts able to be held on a guilty persons". Basically, it would be like speeding in a car. They give you a limit, and if you break it, you get a ticket. No criminal record or court appearance (unless you fail to pay the fine), but just a ticket.

Despite the large amount of talk in Parliament surrounding the issue , you must remember no Civil Action has been taken towards the Decriminalization of marijuana, so it is still very much an illicit narcotic.

It would be his decision on what he would want to do. He could theoretically give you up to $5000 in fines, assuming he didn’t think the marijuana was for trafficking, and up to a 5 year stretch in prison. But that is very unlikely. Usually with miniscule amounts, they will check if you are a repeat offender, and depending on your age, usually drive you to your residence and inform your parents. With such a trivial amount as one joint, it just depends on the officers current mood. Suffice to say, I hardly think he will throw the book at you.

everyone should mind the fact that as little as 2.0grams of marijuana is considered enough for trafficking

No you moron, it is still as illegal as it was 60 years ago. Yes, in practice, your average police officer may not care, but in theory it is very much a crime.
