Okay, I just wanted to express my opinion on this subject so yall can rip me if you want, but heres my outlook on that sitch. It depends, to me, on why youre writing. If you're writing because its a hobby, and you enjoy it and take it very seriously.. like any hobby, but graff isnt your whole life, or you dont plan on getting good enough to mural, or become a serious or even paid artist.. then I think you should write whatever the fuck you want. Who cares who has it, or what famous person has it or whatever, because chances of them ever knowing you exist is slim to none. Now, im not sayin go steal someones name, or rip someone around your hood. But if you're just doing this for fun and shit and arent gonna go nation wide and youre just content to rip your city or state apart, i say fuck it. If you pick a name that dosent IMMEDIATLEY come to mind, like a legend or some shit, and some other really good graffer already has it and youve put work into it, then fuck it.. do whatcha want. But if you are on the contrary to above and you live to write. Then research. just how i see it.
Doomsayer- It's pretty illegible. I would suggest taking some time to look at the main tags thread in the picture gallery and study what you like in tags, paying attention to the fine details of what makes them good. I would also start practicing handstyles with a chisel tip. It looks so much better. You really gotta be a pro to rock a fresh handy w/ a finepoint sharpie...
