sorry but hes right. you overuse arrows, your letter structure is weak. u need to go back to simpler work. every1 here is allowed to give crits if they want.
let battle you and me. you can pick the rules. im not saying u might not win, but lets see.

shimmer- sry, but i dont like it at all. let me see some blokk letters from you. we'll work from there.

    peace, no beef. [/b][/quote]
so for future reference explain how the arrows are overused (all 3 of them) and how i could improve letter structure...and no sry i dont wanna do a battle thats gonna be judged by a bunch of kids who can only spout out "block letters" or "simples" then post stupid played out pics of a font, but if you want through PM's ill do an exchange with you (ie i do an alive piece and you do a near one...assuming you arite alive)

near, we are mearly trying to help, arrows can really normally only be used well by the big boys not the toys, and ur letters need to be same thickness and dont add to many things to the end of them, just give them enuff style so they look good, id much prefer block letters done well than a wildstyle done poorly (not that yours is wild) but id rather have a plain style done well than an insane style done poorly. not trying to pick just trying to help

Another new piece. It was quick and didnt turn out quite the way I wanted.. Im just really starting to get tired of these block letters. I think im to the point where I can atleast start adding hook-ups and some add-ons.. Can anyone offer some input on my situation?

capo - the next step is to start to curve/bend your letters. you got your lines proportional which is a huge first step, now you have to learn to bend em while keeping the proportion and balance (lenght and wisth of the letters) the same. i did a quick sketch looking at your straight edge pic above showing where you can bend, pretty much anywhere you got a 45 degree or bigger angle .. . .. . i gave you some ideas on how to shoot addons and whatnot but figure that out for yourself cuz thats when (in my opinion) you really start developin your own style and from their your are locked in..... yo i am 2 twisted for a thurs night ... . . .

Wow. Just.. wow. I really appreciate the help and advice. I've never even knew I could do that. I thought it just went from blockletters to wildstyle. Opened a whole new world for me. Off to sketch.
