can control, you could have a dope sketch but it will look like shit on a wall if you dont got can control. Like instead of straight sharp lines your gonna get squiggly drippy lines.

edit - wow i just noticed somebody posted almost the same shit

n control (think fat caps versus thins, how u flare your lines, the angles u hold ya can on etc and how it affects the line)

can control of course!! how do you get style with out can control? can control comes before style, any toy can make a half ass scribbly tag on a wall but only a writer w/ a steddy hand can create a real piece.

easy. you can have all the "style" you want, but unless you have really good can control none of its going to be turned into paint. I'd rather not sketch the rest of my life.

What about both? U can have can control but no originality and detail. U can have style but u would crappy toyish pieces.

    Both, fuck one.

style means a lot man, can control is easy to learn but style can go a long way.. like if u have a lot of up's in a town and choose to write a new name and can still be adentifed by other writer as the same person that means alot

much rather see a clean ass straight letter, than some messy lookin wildstyle with uneven lines, uneven fills and drips

**style comes with time....but unless you have can control style is pointless
you could draw styles in your sketchbook all day, but unless you could paint
them, your shit doesnt matter to anybody

messy lookin wildstyle with uneven lines that has nothing to do with can control that has to do with proportions and if u do that shit on a wall u prolly do it on paper to0. However uneven fills and drips that can b put with can control and i agree that shit isn't the hottest

A burner in my definition is combonation of the two. This is what makes a piece in my opinion, and if your painting freights your work always stands out more if the pieces colors and possible theme match the car itself.

style is what makes your piece stand out from the others but if you don't have can control it all goes to hell.

Style... coz you can learn can-control. Style is alot harder to come by.
you cant make up for style with can-control alone??!!

i think style is more important ,because somepeople just dont have but can control is just practice.

Well think of it as a car...would you rather have a plain ordinary car but with 5 star saftey tests and all the warranties n such? or would you rather have flashy car with great style but little safety concious or whatnot? It's just gotta balance out. So in both ways, i can be a nice flashy car with good safety/satisfaction n such. I dunno, thats the way I see it. Analogize it urself..
