Where i live (london), there is an artshop that sells tins to anyone, its a win win situation. They sell the gear, we get our tins.
yea most stores are 18 and up but the other day me and my fellow crew members, haha, found a store where there are no cameras or alarms and we rack like 40 markers each and the people there are oblivious to the legal age but hell i aint pay three fifty for a can of rusto
were i live they made the age 18+ cause kids were huffin. but there are still hardware stores that will sell.
If they ask you why you want it, tell them that its none of their motherfucking business. Your a paying customer, and they have no right to question you on what your gonna do with it.
In chicago you got to be 18+ to buy paint but some times you can just get away with it by some lame excuse...works for me
In toronto there is no age to buy paint. But its wack when i go to a graff store or candian tire or something and i see like 10 year olds or 12 year olds buying liek 5 cans or someshit. You know there just gonna do something wack. So if your not aloud to buy paint it might be a reason because the streets in that area are so vandalised.
crappy tire is the only place that cards for paint. wal mart & zellers dont give a shit ive been told by other writers in my city that kent building supplies asks for your name and phone number, but ive never been asked. which is good becuase kent stocks maaadd krylon, even some of the old school shit thats not al watery.
Here in North Dakota (NODAK REP.) you dont have to be a certain age because graffiti isnt bad. But just in case, if you get the walmart kind, Go to the self-checkouts.
i guess in ontario(in canada for all you kids that dont know where ontario is) they're trying to crack down on graffiti, and they're trying to pass a law that enables you to buy paint under 18... im not sure if its going to get passed or not but in my city the new mayor is a graffiti nazi and he's trying to put out more police survalence in sertain spots that get hit alot. and he's really pushing for this law. but basically yea. in most places it doesnt matter how old you are.
thats why u get fake IDs fucking hate australia sometimes u have to be over 18 and u can get pulled up for having cans in a plastic bags on the street
here in south florida, around the west palm area i can walk in wall*mart, home depot or random hardware stores with out them asking for ID, i usually go for the Check out spots where its some old lady or young kids working there. small random hardware stores don't care they need too make money right?
why buy paint? i buy the good shit like belton and montana but why waste money on rustoleum or krylon? and if anyone denies me when i actually try to buy a can for once fuck emi just steal it
i'm in Brisbane, Australia and i haven't been to a place yet that has an age limit on buying cans. i used to work at kmart and they wouldn't sell it to people if they looked like they were going to use it for sniffing and shit. that was a few years back tho, now i dont work there and they dont even sell cans anymore.
Do u have to be 18 in san fran or vancouver or victoria??????????? o yah and does that apply for markers.
well since canada has no laws your pretty fucking lucky most places in america the age is 18 but in new york city you have to be 21 to buy spray paint or broad tip markers because their cracking down on graffiti
