id say montanas or tagstars, but it all depends on the surface...and montanas leak too much

Overall an OTR, Molotow, or Montana marker is going to be good because you are using them for what they're made for...but spending about 4-5 minutes after pumping them to hold them upside down and shake will do loads to help it write smoother.

A pilot marker in the long run is a better investment racking or buying than a magnum although the magnum has a slightly bigger nib it is known to dry up smell like shit and not produce well on certain surfaces. When using a pilot find either rusty metal or cement or brick and if not catch some tags write on it it will flare out the tip making it softer and giving overall better results plus when its finished rip out the shit inside fill up with some grog or something and jam eraser felt in there and you got an amazing drippy marker.

really it is the surface that you are witiing on that decides on how smooth the pen is. if you are writing on some stuccko the pen wont work but if you write on a nice smooth and clean bus then the pen works like a dream.

montana markers suck unless you fill em with your own ink. sharpie paint suck unless you fill them with your own ink. uni posca suck unless you fill them with your own ink. flowpen ink sucks, replace it with your own ink, or mix it with your own. OTR h2b ink sucks. grog is terrible.

smoothness is dependent on the surface you're writing on (as said somewhere above).

to the kid who asked about the pump system in flowpens:

you push the nib(thepoint) down onto a surface and it opens a hole behind the nib. the ink FLOWS through onto the nib, which lets you write with the PEN. if you want it to drip, press the nib down as youre writing.

^ you dont have to press down to use it. you have to press down if you want the nib to be saturated with ink/drips
